Is Accutane worth it?

I've had acne since I was 10 and its 5 years later now. When I was eleven it turned severe, and has stayed that way since. My skin scars VERY easily, so I have hundreds of scars.
Accutane seems like the appropriate choice right?
Well there's a catch, my family is extremely poor and can't afford to pay for Accutane without insurance (we don't have insurance) , is Accutane worth it to pay over $500 a month?
Should I try to get insurance just for Accutane or would this be expensive too?
Please help me! I don't know what to do.

Questions about Accutane.

I'm planning on going on accutane in December, so I have a few questions.
What kind of products can you use or not use on your face while on it?
I usually use AcneFree Severe.. can I use that while on it?

Also in February I'm going south and plan on getting a really good tan and soaking up the sun
Is this bad when your on Accutane?
If so would I have to go full throttle on the sunscreen?

Acne off cheeks gone... What do I do now for scars?

Hello!
I got rid of my acne on my cheeks by using 10% BP.
Now I have very dark red marks all over my cheeks that I want to get rid of.
I can't do any peel or anything because I still have acne all over my chin.
Should I continue to put the BP on my chin so the skin with the scarring is exfoliated?
Or should I just put my normal moisturizer on?
I have some retinal A cream... should I use this on the scars?

Please help

BC... how long to notice a difference.

Ive been on BC for almost 3 months now, in order to try to clear up my face.
I haven't noticed a difference yet.
Im wondering how long it might take to improve.

Powder causing acne?

Okay. So I have had acne since i was 10. But it was always really mild until grade 9 started last year. I didn't wear makeup though so that wasn't the problem. But even in grade 9 I only had moderate acne. But what I realized last night is my acne turned to severe around when I started using powder on my face.
I started using really light foundation christmas last year and there was no change. But in the spring i needed powder for dance competitions, so i bought some and also started wearing it to school and such. That is around the time my acne turned terrible.
So is it very common with other people that powder gives them acne?
And how is a way do do good coverup, but without the benefits as powder for an even finish?
