Well, my regimen is pretty much going to be what is laid out in the post title. In addition to that, I am going to cleanse my face morning and evening, and wash it 2 more times during the day with cold water (my face is very oily).
I feel like the only obstacle I will face is getting enough nutrition. I do a lot of running but am also currently trying to gain muscle mass/healthy fat. By cutting out all dairy products this might become more of a problem. But I think I can get through it. I'm in college right now and I feel like my acne is destroying my self-confidence and preventing me from experiencing college life to its full potential. I'll see if this regimen does anything. I actually heard for ppl trying to workout and gain muscle and what not that cutting dairy out is a good thing. Alot of those powder protein mixs tell you not to mix with milk but with juice or water, plus muclemilk is lactose free. So it's probably in the best interest of yourself to cut out dairy. I should sooo try this regimen too along with my normal skin regimen because I think sugar is ruining my skin yet again but I just can't stay away from it. So today I am banning myself from sugar and gonna drink more water. |

Hey...
If u are wanna gain muscle and you wanna use proteins .. then you better go for "ON Optimum Whey Protein" it can be mixed wit water.. so u dont need to use milk and its the best one available... and btw sugar and dairy is ok manageable but wont be real hard to stop masturbation? and ya lifting weights do cause acne i suppose... Due to the production of high male testosterone during weight lifting... |

Wait, you're saying that the actual process of lifting weights causes acne? Not the supplements that people normally take when they are trying to build?

Wait, you're saying that the actual process of lifting weights causes acne? Not the supplements that people normally take when they are trying to build? If you do find yourself getting some acne when you workout it could be because the rise in testoserone you body is producing to support your muscle gains but everyone is different not everyone breaks out because of this rise in hormones

Okay, so I had a breakout yesterday. Usually whenever I get a breakout I panic and start looking for something that I'm doing wrong. But now I'm just going to stay the course. I'm convinced that my acne can improve at least somewhat, naturally.

So I've stripped my diet down to club sandwiches (wheat bread, turkey breast, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and bacon)... bananas, salads (lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, carrots and croutons), and water. I'm also taking niacin and vitamin A supplements.
I feel like I'm missing something. What is it? This post has been edited by whathavewehere: Oct 15 2009, 06:15 PM |

Vitamin B2. You need that to metabolize the Vitamin A. Very important step.

I eat a lot of lettuce (leafy vegetable). Do you think I get enough B2 from that or do I need a supplement?

what size of bottles of water are you drinking? i personally drink 3-5L a day, mainly because 74% of muscle is just water so you always want to have tons of it in your body to promote muscle growth. my skin has cleared quite a bit since i got into a good workout/nutrition regimen.

Yeah I should probably up the amount. 4 bottles, 500mL each is only 2L a day.

Alright, I'll pick some up next time I go to CVS.
Today was a bad day for the regimen... I cracked and had myself a giant 3 Musketeers bar. Also had some Honey Nut Cheerios in the evening. At least I avoided dairy, heh. |

Today was really bad. I ate so much sweet/processed food that I won't even begin to list all of it. I also masturbated a couple days ago. It's already showing on my skin: I'm getting pimples on my cheeks, a region where I haven't had a breakout in a long, LONG time.
From now on, no more excuses. |

Well, today was an alright day. I had to polish off all the chocolate chip cookies I had lying around, since I couldn't stand them lying around tempting me, but other than that, all I ate was roast beef sandwiches on rye bread (with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, no mayo/cheese), pretzels and carrots. Also had a cup of green tea and tons of water.
I also stocked up on ingredients to make my own dairy-free sandwiches so I wouldn't have to go to the campus diner where food costs twice as much. |

Well today is my first 'serious' day on the regimen. It's 2 PM and so far I've had 2 bananas, 8 baby carrots, 6 grape tomatoes, and two rye bread/lettuce/roast beef sandwiches, as well as green tea in the morning.
I think I might go to the store today and look for some more low-cost, high calorie foods (aka nuts) since I'm afraid of not getting enough calories throughout the day. Sadly, being a college student, my budget is very limited. I hope I have enough to last me until the weekend. EDIT: Well... my diet for the rest of the day was pretty much the same. I added in PBJ sandwiches (wheat bread, peanut butter and jelly) as well as bagel crisps. I made sure the jelly only had pectin in it. The only thing I had today that I'm kind of ashamed of is a whole ton of sauce-covered chicken wings. I assume it had no dairy/sugar in it, but still, it just seems like the kind of thing that would lead right to a breakout. This post has been edited by whathavewehere: Oct 20 2009, 10:36 PM |
