I am in 10th grade right now. I have been getting VERY mild acne (like 1 or 2 pimples at a time) starting in 8th grade and going to freshman year. Over the summer my skin is honestly so clear and I never have an issue. But ever since 10th grade started, I've been breaking out a lot. It started with just a couple on my nose (which is the worst spot to me because it's in the middle of your face). My forehead has also always been a problem spot but I never really worry much about it because it's always been bad. I went to the dermatologist and she gave me Epiduo. After the dermatologist, my skin was getting better so I never used it. But now my skin has gotten worse. I'm talking acne all over. I used Cetaphil for a while and a couple days ago I started to finally use the Epiduo. It almost seems that ever since I started the Epiduo, my skin has gotten worse. Dryness, burning, itchiness. I know that the Epiduo is helping but it's hard to keep using it when it burns and drys my skin. Everyday I come home from school and look in the mirror and honestly cry. I don't even know what to do anymore. I always deny hanging out with people because I don't want them to see me. I don't know what to do. How do I gain any self-confidence? S-O-S

just keep using the stuff you're using and try making an appointment with your derm asap. You're fortunate to have a derm, so use them. As for the hanging out with people problem, its up to you. when i was bad i simply came home from school and dedicated my life to doing homework in my room. its a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. Im sure you arent that bad however, stay positive.
