I make my own toner. It is made from apple cider vinegar, green tea and lemon juice. These ingredience helps to reduce spot marks, reduce pore size and reduce oil. I use this toner every night, as I find it too drying if I use it in the morning as well. After it had dried, I put on retin-A.
I make 2 weeks worth and keep it in a jar and put it in the fridge. Therefore when you apply it on your face, its cold and it feels really nice =)
However, I have not used this toner for 1 week, because my skin at the moment is really dried. So today I went out and brought a bottle of organic aloe vera gel (natural). It promise to be soothing, moisturising and restoring. It is in gel form so it wouldn't break me out. I also brought a Facial Massager from The Body Shop, this boosts radiance, helps skin absorb moisturiser. And a Facial Brush, to scrub the dry skin off. Hopefully by using these three things my dry skin would improve.
I think my dried skin is cause by abusing my face with products. Since I have combination skin. My jaw line and cheeks are the driest part. This causes my skin to break out in the dry areas. so oily skin isn't that bad after all. I've also stopped using the retin-A, because it's making my skin horrible. I will continue using it when I start using the apple cider vinegar toner again.
I will continue using the apple cider vinegar when my dried skin has gone, because it seriously lighten my spot marks and reduced grease. My complexion is better after using the apple cider vinegar toner. My sister uses it as well and it works great even though she doesn't have acne.
Search for the apple cider vinegar on the internet, there's a range you can make at home.
