Happy - Day 21

Hi guys wow it's been a week since I last updated you guys and I apologize for that. This past week has been so busy with exams and tests, since my first semester is ending.

Progress - For this past week it's been pretty much the same as my last post on day 15. My third week has got to be my worst week, my confidence level was so low and Ive been hiding in the library or in class pretending to study just so I can avoid seeing people. That was the most insecure I've been of my skin, and my acne wasn't even the problem it was how irritated, dry, and flaky my skin was. During that week also I broke out a little bit, I got 4 pimples on my forehead but 3 of them were small one's but one of them in the middle of my forehead was deeper but not nearly as bad as before. I popped those and they healed in 3 days, now I can't even tell where they were.

Since yesterday my skin looked so much better and I can finally see the regimen really working on my skin. My skin is over the flaky, dry , dark patches phase and slowly in the process of being perfect! My skin is still a little bit red but it just looks like i'm hot or blushing all over, nothing too noticeable. If someone asks why my skin is red I can easily tell them I'm warm. Around my chin I get a small amount of flakes but it usually takes 3-4 hours after moisturizer it will flake a little bit. You can only tell if you're very very close to my face. Also I have no active breakouts currently, 2 or 3 tiny small bumps you cant see but I can feel while applying the bp.

Current Routine-

Wash face for 10 seconds or less with Dan's face wash.

Every other day I exfoliate with the jojoba oil technique.

Today i went out with my friend and I felt so great about my skin, I felt so confident and happy. This regimen is really a miracle worker.

Hi guys so I'm really enjoying this idea of me blogging everyday on my skin, its very relaxing for me and its a nice way for me to unwind at the end of the day!

Progress: So today I woke up and it was my time of the month, sorry if this is TMI but I thought I'd add it becayse usually around this time I'd get a few more breakouts. I surprisingly didn't have a huge pimple anywhere, but i did notice a 2 or 3 tiny pimples on my forehead but theyre tiny, barely noticeable Also the big under the skin pimple I had on my forehead near my hairline had come up. I didn't expect it too but it did and it had a white head on it so i popped it. I followed Dan's youtube video on popping pimples and it was a safe method. That one will probably be gone by tomorrow. I have also noticed that some dark spots I had from previous big pimples just flaked off! I was verry happy that my dark spots (that werent dead skin) could be peeled off.

How School was today: TERRIBLE. It was my first day back from winter break and oh boy, was i ever self conscious. I felt horrible, all i could think of was going home where I could be alone with no one looking at me. I only stayed really close to my really close friends so when they saw my skin I could easily tell them that i was on a new skincare routine to treat my acne, and obviously they were so supportive for me and my skin. They understood me so well and I have noticed that your true friends shouldn't care what you look like.But as of other people i tried to avoid conversation, eye contact, and even saying hi. During lunch I did not want to go meet all my other friends so i made an excuse to stay in the library because i had to "study." I was even more embarrassed than when i had actual acne! My dry, flaky, brown, splotches on my face made me look like I had a disease.

Changes: So today I was so fed up with my dry, cracking face that i decided to do some research about it here on I found a lovely member giving some solid good advice.

So what I did today was try out what she suggested, I desperately wanted to scrub my face with an exfoliator to get rid of the dead skin but i knew Dan did not recommend that at all and that would totally just irritate my skin. So what she suggests is to exfoliate your ski with jojoba oil. I had ordered Dan's jojoba oil for my moisturizer and thought this could work. While I was taking my bath I poured a good amount of oil into my hands and started massaging my skin, kind of going in an upward motion to really collect the dead skin. As i did this i could feel the gritty skin slothing off, when i looked at my fingers there were brown, dead skin all over in clumps and i was so happy because i pictured my skin to be perfect with all the dead skin off. After i rinsed my face then proceeded with the regimen. After i looked in the mirror to see that my skin was significantly better than before, it looked smoother and more even, but not completely, like 70% but I'm still very pleased.

The Second change I made was to change my moisturizer. I realized Dan's moisturizer did not help with my dry skin at all even with 8-10 drops of jojoba oil, it just made my face look oily. I replaced it with the aveeno body lotion. I know it may not be the best but I'm up for experimentation, i know it helped with my eczema on my body when i was young so I'm hoping it will heal my ugly, flaky skin. I only applied that to my cheeks as of now because my t-zone wasnt very dry, so in my T-zone i applied Dan's moisturizer with 4 drops of jojoba oil. I'm praying and hoping my skin will look better tomorrow because I will not go another day feeling horrible about my skin.

Hi guys, I wanted to start recording my journey since day 1 but i put it off but I'm starting it now on day 14. I will try to blog everyday my progress and update you all on how my skins doing and looking. I wont be posting pictures but I will make sure to be very descriptive on how my skin looks. I am ending weeks 2 and going into my third week.

Acne History:

I would like to start off with my acne history. I started getting breakouts in gr 7, it never did get better because i was constantly putting concealer, foundation, and powder to cover it. *note i never did have severe acne and I know many people have it worse but this is my personal story. So in grade 8 i started getting more and more breakouts, it was mainly on my forehead and i only got 1 or 2 pimples on my cheek or chin every month or so. I was very self conscious by this point because whenever i talked to people i always felt like they were staring at my acne, but like always this is never the case. Anyways so I always tried over the counter products to get rid of my acne but it never did. In the summer going into gr 9 I was determined to get rid of my acne for highschool, I bought a clarisonic hoping it would help, but it ended up irritating my skin and wasted money. I also tried Apple cider vinegar diluted with water as a toner and that actually helped alot, My skin looked significantly better and i didnt have to wear foundation anymore! Only a bit of concealer. I was very pleased and thought if i kept with the ACV i could be completely clear. Although my skin got better and I was more confident, my skin was still far from perfect. I would have tiny bumps on my forehead and i would always at least have one big under the skin breakout. I was fed up with my skin and hated it. So a month ago I decided to order the regimen online after a huge amount of research. I've watched just about every review on youtube and I was positive this time i could be completely clear!

My regimen journey till now:

So far the regimen has been a blessing and a curse for my skin. During the first week i was very happy because my skin was 75% clear and my skin wasnt too dry, when i put a bit of concealer on my skin looked very nice.

Now I have finished week two and my skin is different. On my forehead the tiny bumps i used to have are completely gone, my forehead is very smooth. Except near my hairline I have 1 under the skin breakout that is pretty big. I feel like it wont come up to the surface though, after a week i think it will be gone. My cheeks and chin are clear from breakouts. So you probably think my skin is perfect now except for one breakout, BUT you're wrong. My skin texture is absolutely horrible. I have white, dry, flaky skin around my mouth and every time i laugh or smile or try to eat, the flakiness is more visible and obvious. my forehead is normally very oily so it doesnt get flaky there. Also the texture of my skin is very rough. My cheeks used to be so soft but now it feels like sandpaper. I also have brown patches everywhere, my skin overall looks very uneven.

So that is my introduction and journey till now for my forum and I will update you guys everyday. I also wanted to mention tomorrow i go back to school from winter break and im so nervous because i dont want anyone to see my skin at this stage, hopefully this flaky, uneven skin stage will pass quickly!
