So, this I followed DKR for 1 month and 4 days now. I mentioned in my last post that I start seeing result and my skin is getting better in a way that there are no new active acne. However, I notice that my skin is dull and when I do increase the usage of BP, the flakiness is worse and i cannot apply make up because the foundation just wont blend well into my skin :(:( I also realized that when I increase the use of BP (to one index finger amount), my skin gets really DULL and red for a few couple of days before the skin started to flake and looks very dry.

Last night, I tried to use AHA+ as a night moisturizer and I do realize that the flakiness is a bit reduce, but my skin still looks very Dull and dark as compared to my neck. When can the result of the AHA+ be noticeable since it is supposed to improve your complexion right?

PLEASE HELP :'( How to make this problem go away?????
I want my skin to glow and not look Dull :(
Is there any step of the DKR that I miss?

Update: Day 27

By eputri,

I've finally gotten the full Regimen Kit from Dan himself. *woohoo*
I have noticed that my skin is getting WAY better eve since I really start to seriously used this product a couple of weeks ago
My forehead and nose area is completely clean, however there are still some bumps and a bit of scarring in my cheeks area.
I'm so in love with the regimen and what it has done to my skin that I decided to let my sister and a friend of mine try to use it as well :D
I've finally found a routine and product that work with my skin! Now I don't even have to use foundation, I just apply a face primer (gonna try out the MUFE HD Face Primer #0), a bit of concealer and some loose powder will give a enough coverage :)

Anyways, gonna start using Dan's Kit when all my drugstore products are finish. Can't wait to use the AHA+, any of you know how to use it? Is it like a normal moisturizer? So you skip the moisturizer at night and replace it with AHA+ instead?

Also, regarding the oral medication that I've been taking to help prevent new acne is INTERDOXIN a type of doxycycline - which is antibiotics used to treat skin problems.

Overall, I thank for letting me know about this Regimen :) Def a YES to cure acne

Cheers xx

I'm considering to do a chemical peeling on my face to remove the acne scars and also the dryness of the skin. Before I was on the regimen, i tried the Obagi Blue Peel, it wasn't very expensive but it dried my active acne pretty well. But now since I've been using the regimen, I have no new acne, but the scars still linger in some parts of my cheeks. Will chemical peel and the regimen together causes side effect?

Well, have any of you guys tried chemical peel while on the regimen?

Tell me how it is please! In need of some advice [img][/img]

Cheers xx

Can't believe I have been following the regimen for 3 weeks already (booyeah)! After all the redness, flaking and itchy skin, I have finally passed that stage already. My skin is no longer red but as compared to my neck, it is still a bit darker. But yea most of the active acne, I can say, are 95% gone from my face [img][/img] There are still acne scars caused by previous acne in some part of my cheeks. But as for the forehead and nose area are pretty much cleared.

My current skin routine:
-Washing my face twice a day (although it is hard at first because I tend to wash my face 3x a day)
-Washing it ONLY for LESS than 10 sec.
-Applying 2.5 Benzac and Olay moisturizer between 10-15 mins after i finish washing my face

I also started to take this oral medication called INTERDOXIN (i'm not sure whether you guys know that or not), but anyways a friend of my told me to take it. He said that this is not to cure the acne but to prevent acne breaking out. So far, it works. No new, active, disgusting acne for me [img][/img] [img][/img]

I tend to scrub the dead skin on my face while I'm in the shower, although I know that you are not supposed to do it. I only gently scrub with my finger around my jaws and nose area only, no where near my pimple area. Oh ya, I also use the olay moisturizer at night (I am aware that they contain sunscreen, but who care I still use it anyways) because I find that with the Cetaphil moisturizing lotion, it burns and sting when I apply it after using the 2,5 Benzac.

I tend not to use make up during the day because I feel that foundation and heavy make-ups will clog pores and can cause breakouts. However, if I really really need to use make up, I choose to only conceal my scars using a Mac concealer and then applying Bare Minerals loose powder (a bit of Benefit blush too sometimes [img][/img] ) But using makeup, i feel that it tends to make the dryness and flaking more obvious because the powder won't stick to my skin.

Do you guys know what is a good primer and concealer to help me with this problem??

But, enough with all the dryness complain and flakiness of my skin. I am quite content with the current result and I hope my skin continue to get better and better everyday. Just a piece of advice for you guys out there who currently just started following the regimen: Don't stress out too much with your current skin condition, avoid looking at the mirror too much because it can demotivate you and you end up doubting the regimen and the key is to just BE CONSISTENT [img][/img]

Anyways, I am now waiting for the actual Kit from to arrive, I've ordered the complete set already. Can't wait to try it on and see the difference.

For people out there fighting with acne and are using this regimen, best of luck [img][/img]

Cheers
I'm currently Day 14 following The Regimen

I've seen minor improvements on my face, no new acne popping up in my face and the older ones are gone by now or at least very dry. However, I can still se acne scars here and there due to the old acne. My only concern is that my face is now darker than the usual color also when being compared to my neck. The skin also tends to get very dry after I wash my face with a gentle cleanser, should I scrub off the dry skin on my face or just leave it as it is and continue applying 2.5 % BP?

In Day 1- Day 7, the skin seems red and irritated. It hurts so bad and the skin seems to be peeling off and very itchy. I almost gave up on this product because I thought its making my skin even worse due to the redness. Previously, I used Retin A for almost 3 months however it didn't help my skin.

My only concern is whether this product s working or not? Cause till now I'm not seeing a significant improvements with my skin or at least as what was written in the What to Expect section in the website. Does using drug store product stated in the website make you achieve a different result as compared to using Dan's Kit?

Also, I still use make-up, like applying a water-base foundation and sometimes concealer if I'm going out and using loose powder to set my make-up. Does this affect the healing process?

Should I still continue The Regimen??? And approximately how long until I can get an even complexion and a healthy natural looking skin, free from acne [img][/img]
