I had a dermatologist appointment on the 19th and I TOTALLY FORGOT so I had to reschedule for the 15th of next month

I look through my Bactrim album and I just love seeing how well my skin has been doing in comparison to when I first started. I've still got a lot of scarring, and I still get small pimples here and there, but the hyperpigmentation s...

Realizations

Well, I just started college about a week ago. Unfortunately, I think my skin is in the worst state it has been in a long time. I thought the culprit was my Paula's Choice BHA liquid, but I have recently discovered that is not the case.

I have been using Murad's clarifying cleanser for a couple of months now. It worked great to begin with, but now...

Effectiveness Of Potassium Supplements To Maintain Healthy Blood Pressure Sodium content unfortunately often causes a loss of potassium. It may be worthwhile to discuss this with your doctor because there are also diuretics that only stimulate sodium excretion.

And supplements? From a large-scale study that has already been carried out into the effectiveness of potassium supplements in 1997, the research group of the Uni...

Hey guys, so these last couple of weeks have been very hard for me because of my persistent breakouts as you can see in my last two posts. I got the cortisone shot on Thursday and it has gotten so much smaller!! Anyway, I could not figure out why I was breaking out so badly in just one area until I decided to look up the effects of Clearasil ultra rapid v...

A Decision I Never Thought I'd Make.

Posted by mel90 in mel1993- My Experience with Acne, 29 August 2014 · 12 views

Hey everyone!

I have had BAD acne for almost 5 years. I am so terribly sick of it. In the beginning I genuinely thought I could go to the drugstore, find a magic potion and just be rid of the blemishes. I have come to realize that the very long isle FILLED with various brands of bullshit don't do anything if your acne is both hormonal and persistent. I h...

When The Going Gets Tough....

Posted by leelowe1 in Letting Go and Letting God, 29 August 2014 · 13 views

It's pretty much a guarantee in life that we will face challenges.  Some will be temporary and some will be life long. Acne is my life long challenge and right now, it is tough.  At fist, it was just confined to one side of my mouth and then it spread to the other side.  It went up to my lips and down to my chin.  Now I have it on my c...

Im a 16 year old male, and started getting acne at 15, but didn't get real bad until about 4 months ago. I tried using stridex, or over the counter products such as neutrogena, and proactiv, to no success. I then first saw a dermatologist about 9 months ago. He gave me antibiotics (I forget which one), told me to use neutrogena 2 % salicylic acid, and a c...

Aquaphor, My Savior!

I'm officially one week into Myorisan (Accutane)!
And... I'm SO VERY DRY.  I've been dry since about day 3, actually.  My lips, my nose, and the general area near those two are flaking out.  I'm not sure if becoming dry so quickly is a good sign that I react well to Accutane or a fair warning of serious consequences ahead.  I'll cont...

Month 7 And Updates

Well, hello everyone.

I thought that 14.7.25 is the last day using the regimen but unfortunately it wasn't.
So, what happened is that i went to Minnesota for 4 days (, and at that time i wasn't using regimen for about 2 weeks).
Since i DON'T live in Minnesota my skin started reacting to it's climate. So i started getting these bump-lik...

Hello Fellow Taners,

I have been silently popping pill after pill for about 96 days now and could no longer keep to myself. And NO! not here to vent but just nice to be able to interact with peers on the same ride.

Trying not to stress much over the slow going progress, half way there now, time definitely didn't just fly by as for many of yo...

Cure For Large Pimples? Coincidence Or Solution?

Cure For Large Pimples? Coincidence Or Solution? In my earlier entries I was convinced my acne was severe. After a lot of research, I am relieved to say I do NOT have cystic acne, nor anything close. My acne is very mild, some would call it a grade 1 or 2 out of a grade 5, or a 1-2 on a scale of 0-8, 8 being cystic acne. This gives me hope because it means that my acne which is hormonal, is extremely tr...

cystic acne

I'm pleased to say that week three is very similar to week two. I had my cotisone shots and my cysts have gone done almost entirely,I just have the red scarring now.

Not had any new spots, which is incredible. I was having so many bad ones so I'm really pleased.

I am having really odd side effects and I don't know what the cause is. I...

Yes, I fucking am.

My skin is horrid right now, not gonna lie, it really is. Its the end of the month and my period is due next week or something and this always happens at the end of every month. My skin is just so terrible and its making me feel like shit - again. WTF.

I am just feeling sorry for myself all the time. I look pretty unattractive with it...
