needlidng dermastamp dermarolling tca cross scars do heal

Heyy everybody, this doesn't have to do with the protocol just scars, treatments and dermarolling in general. I just wanted to say that scars do get better. I had this extremely deep scar on my cheek. When I say deep, I mean deep!! My ex boyfriend at the time said it looked like one of those donut shaped ramps at the skateboard parks lol. I say lol because it is no longer as deep as a skateboarding ramp I had done numerous tca cross treatments on that particular scar and three years later it is 85-90% improved! It's not gone but some of the edges around the scar have began to level out with the surrounding skin. And it's actually much softer looking now compared to how jagged it looked prior to any treatment. I wish I had taken photographs of that scar you guy's would have been mind blown as to how much of an improvement there was. Whatever route you take to fix your scars just remember, consistency is the key! You can't do a treatment for a couple of months and give up. When I was doing TCA cross on my skateboard ramp scar, I did it every single month, for probably a year and half to two years. I just kept at it! I thought if I'm not doing something to it there will be no change happening. Now when I look at that same scar I am amazed, absolutely amazed at how much it has changed.
My new treatment of choice is derma stamping, May 10th will be my 5th treatment. Now to be honest, I can't really tell how much of a difference it has made in my scars to date but I do know that I will complete my one year of derma stamping (Jan2015). What gives me hope is reading success stories about needling, which there are tons! This one girl on an acne.org board said she had a huge, jagged boxcar scar on her cheek that she got rid of after 8-9 months of needling!! Now that is amazing Imagine, if she had given up after 4 or 5 months of needling? Even crownroyal, one of the posters on this very board, said that after a year or so of dermarolling some of his scars split into 2 smaller scars and now resemble pores! So clearly dermarolling is doing something! Now think, maybe if he consistently continues to roll for another year who knows how much more improvement will come his way? There was this other poster, Gumby (I believe) on acne.org who after 2 years of needling removed his scars. And also, another user who had dermarolling treatments every 2months and no longer has any rolling scars!! So many success stories, I only hope I too will be among them one day  When I have day's like today where I've just had enough with this damned scarring, I read these success stories and they give me hope to continue with my needling treatments. Maybe, one day after consistently treating my scars I will see smooth skin once again... who knows, only time will tell!
Bye for now!

I am very intrigued by the idea of removing scars. I checked out a website that sells dermarollers. badgrin.gifbadgrin.gifbadgrin.gifbadgrin.gif

Dermaroller is definitely one of the safer routes to self treat as long as you know what you are doing.

All the best if you do decide to ever do it :)
