Somewhat Discouraged

acne regimen minocycline atralin panoxyl topical antibiotic
So I've been using a new skin care regimen prescribed by my dermatologist for the next month or so until I can start Accutane. Before the regimen, my face was actually starting to clear up. Now, I think my skin had an initial breakout on this regimen because my pores were getting rid of built-up dirt/ oil. I have one small cyst/ zit? on my right jawline, another red mark near it, and healing red marks on the left side of my chin and right cheek. I'm somewhat annoyed and discouraged, but I'm thinking maybe this is how the regimen works-- it gets rid of all the stuff in your pores so that your skin becomes more clear. At least, I am really hoping that is what is happening.
Yesterday night I did not feel like slapping on makeup and covering up my acne to go out, so I actually  missed out on my younger cousin's 8th grade grad party with my family. My mom was not very happy that I decided not to go, but I really needed the time away from the chaos that is my relatives/ family. I love them, and I love being around them, but I needed a night to myself. I feel a bit sad that I missed it but, it was nice that I got to let my skin breathe and have some time to relax.
I really, really hope that these red marks heal quickly.
My skin care regimen is the following:
-Take oral antibiotic--100 mg Minocycline
-Wash face with 4% Benzoyl Peroxide face wash (PanOxyl brand) and leave on for 15 seconds before rinsing with warm water
-Rinse with cold water
-Apply a thin layer of a topical antibiotic to entire face (liquid gel) (Sulfacetimide Sodium Topical Suspension, 10%)
-Moisturize with CeraVe moisturizing face lotion
-Take oral antibiotic--100 mg Minocycline
-Rinse face with warm water
-Remove makeup/ cleanse face with CeraVe Moisturizing Face Cleanser and warm water (using Olay Pro-X Spin Brush--gentle setting)
-Rise face with cold water
-Apply a thin layer of a topical antibiotic to entire face (liquid gel) (Sulfacetimide Sodium Topical Suspension, 10%)
-Moisturize with CeraVe moisturizing face lotion
-Wait 30 minutes
-Apply very small amount of a topical retinoid (Atralin 0.1%) to entire face (thin layer)
If anyone has any suggestions/ experience with this regimen, I'd love to hear what you think. No matter what, I will still be going on Accutane in a month (I just have to wait 30 days to be registered in I-Pledge before they will let me take it).

See if you can get your derm to switch you to cephalexin, amoxicillin or penicillin. Just a tip. Prolly moot since you are set to start accutane. Smart choice. Good luck with your course of accutane. I never tried it because my acne can be controlled through use of topicals like benzaclin, tretinoin and clindamycin and oral antibiotics like amoxil & cephalexin. I like the idea of accutane because it is a permanent solution or at least its good for a few years and then you have the option of taking it again.

Thanks! The antibiotic is actually working great now! I think I just had an initial breakout on this new regimen, but my skin is looking a tonnnnn better. That is the reason why I am still going to do accutane, even if this regimen works--I want a long-term solution. I have become immune to antibiotics and skin care regimens in the past, and I don't want to deal with the guess work since I have already gone through it on and off for almost 10 years!
