okay its been over a week since i started roaccutane, and i feel dreadful:( but im already getting positive results! i have no active spots and i havent got a new spot for about 4/5 days which is a record for me! but my skin is so dry its looks terrible anyway so it doesnt really matter, my makeup looks nicer over big cystic spots than it does this dry skin, is everyone elses skin this dry?

my whole body is incredibly itchy! but ive heard this is common because your body is getting dried and dehydrated so this causes itching but im starting to get small itchy spots in random spots around my body which is annoying but it goes away if i dont itch it:)
also my elbows are so dry they're peeling and im putting vaseline on them! does anybody else get this? Posted Image

from starting roaccutane ive never really had spots on my back really just my face but ive started getting spots on my back, but really id rather my back than my face, haha.
my dry eyes and around my eyes have continued since day one and my left eye sometimes goes red and irrited and they are always very delicate such a pain in the arse!

So really im just hoping the dry skin just doesnt get worse because its inevitable to get dry skin on roaccutane/accutane and im hoping the itching goes away in a week or two and my eyes dont get so painful but i can live with the rest of it, would love some feedback please! thankyou x

I have all of that too! It's extremely common and my makeup looks horrible too! I have you info about makeup before and I don't know if you used my suggestions but if you did I'm sorry it didn't work for you! I'm not sure what face wash your using but make sure it's for dry skin! And just pile on the moisturizer at all times! Also I like putting vasaline around my eyes because they are super dry and itchy and it's gentle to use on my eyes while being super hydrated! And for mkeup BBcream or tinted moisturizer might work better! Or mix foundation with your moisturizer it doesn't cover really well but it's better then looking super dry! Anyway the first month is super hard but it's great once you get through it! And think of the clear skin you'll have in the end!

aw thats relieving knowing someone else gets the same symptoms haha:) and yeah all makeup seems to be making the same effect on my skin!:(i think im going to try a tinted moisturiser next:) and ill try the vaseline now, thats a great idea, ive just been using eye drops which dont work very well. oh i also want to ask, after the first month i know youll still get occasional break outs but will your skin look drastically better or does it take longer?

Well I'm half way through the second month and I just went up a dose so I had more breakouts. But now they seem to be clearing up. But mostly the existing pimples start clearing up but I still get breakouts just no where near as bad as before I went on Accutane. And I rarely get them on my cheeks, mostly on my forehead. But I can say my skin has gotten a lot more clear recently. I'm on day 45. Some days are bad and you wake up thinking wow my skin looks like crap and then others you wake up and are like wow my skin looks fantastic. It really just depends on the person. From other blogs I've read most people are completely clear by the 3rd or 4th month. I hope. Mine clears up soon. Also I put vasaline on my face sometimes or just the dry patches. (Which is everywhere lol) some people say that it's bad for your skin but I never breakout from it and it reall helps me.

ah okay, thanks for the information! aw thats great im so excited to see my skin clearing because so far not much has changed. yeah that sounds like a good idea thank you i will try that, my skin is completly dry aswell:(
