accutane claravis acne side effects second week dry nose dry lips dry eyes dry throat tired
I decided I'd really like to document my progress. This medication is pretty intense. Today is the first day of my second week. I am currently on 60 mg per day. It seems a little high? I'm 24 years old, 5'7" and 120 lbs. I see a lot of people on 20-40 mg but I guess my derm knows better than me. I've only gotten 3 white heads since starting last week which is a MAJOR improvement.
Side effects ...
* My first 4 days I had terrible headaches that lasted continually 4 days straight. It had me very nervous but I think my body is more used to the medication because they have since stopped and I haven't had another headache.
*dry eyes started at day 3 ... Getting worse. Currently using artificial tests with very little relief.
*dry lips started around day 6. Today the corners are cracking. I've been using caramex and aquphor for this and it's been helping but I'm applying constantly.
*dry nose started day 6 this is annoying. It feels terrible. I've read of people using moisturizers inside the nose and saline spray. I hated the way lotion felt and I've actually been using caramex inside the nostril which is working GREAT instant relief from pain of dryness and smells good
*dry throat. I've been drinking so much water I'm peeing constantly but still have dry throat.
*dry skin ... Really just starting today and isn't too bad at all yet. Currently using cetephil moisturizer at night and noutregina daily moisture during the day.
*so so so tired.
*mild back pain.
This is already an exhausting journey. As my eyes bother me so bad I can barely type and I just used drops. Just hoping this works and trying to be positive.
