I saw a dermatologist today.
I told her my acne history and then chuckled when she said "There's nothing else I could give, you've tried everything!"
HISTORY----
I haven't told you guys about my history. So here..
I've had acne for 8 years. Moderate type. Over the years, I've tried..
- antibiotics
- all those topical creams
- birth control pills (Okay for as long as you take it)
- accutane (Same as BCP. Acne comes back after you stop)
My acne this time is somewhat different. Before I used to get cystic inflamed acne, now it's just comedones and some folliculitis. (Cystic spot comes rarely)
Have you guys experienced this? Like a shift in acne type?
TREATMENT & PRESCRIPTION----
I underwent some Acne Cleansing today. The person, whatever she's called, removed some of my comedones. And then the dermatologist gave me an Acne Kit.
- ISKIN New York (I don't know this product. I don't think it's from New York either. But it's so expensive)
EMOTIONAL STUFF----
YOU CAN SKIP THIS
I was crying before all this. I am okay with seeing a dermatologist and taking prescriptions, but, getting a procedure done on my face is another thing. It's painful. It's not pretty. It's traumatizing really. i look so awful right now. But I try to be positive and think like: "Maybe God didn't want me to be too perfect and too AWESOME(!) so he gave me acne." I dunno God, acne is tearing me apart really, bad choice.
