Update:

I started the Tretinoin last night and it was a little different then I expected. I have the gel and it is some sort of alcohol base, which I don't like. Isn't alcohol really drying? I know they have other formulas, but I'll stick with this until I see my dermatologist again in January. I didn't apply any lotion last night and I think that was a bad idea. Tonight I will cleanse -> moisturize -> wait an hour -> apply Tretinoin.

So today my skin is looking a little pink but less flakey then it did yesterday and some of my minor actives have become more inflamed. I have one deep cyst on the right side of my chin and it hurts. Posted Image

I'm still feeling very optimistic though and I am prepared for things to get worse before they get better.

xx Shawna
