End Of Week 1..... Starting To Feel It!

Posted by lilbee, 20 July 2012 · 340 views

Im on day 6 today and haven't had too much to report back, lips starting to get dry and I'm applying Aquaphor quite often..... Skin does feel pretty oily only halfway through the day - i do apply a little more bare minerals and it seems to soak it up! Hair is also much more oily than normal. Skin hasn't really gotten any worse or better this week but it feels like the texture is starting to get thicker for some reason. I also had a few glasses of wine with dinner and had no side effects so thats promising! I had about 8 glasses of water though as i was so paranoid!

Being 30 years old now Im feeling like none of my friends really understand why im doing this as they all have perfect skin but it was time i finally did something about it!

Did a calculation and I have to take 425 20mg tablets over the next 5 months which sounds a bit daunting!

Good luck Candypie let me know where you are at on week one!

I think aquaphor is too heavy for use on the face. Just a theory but I really think you should stick with an oil-free moisturizer with spf of at least 30. Neutrogena has several "acne friendly" moisturizers you could pick up at Walgreens pharmacy.
Hi - no just using Aquaphor on the lips!! Using Cetaphil on my face at night and Neutrogena spf 30 moisturiser during the day.....
I have used aquaphor on my face in the winter for dryness for like wind burn....ONLY At NIGHT! lol. Thin layer all over, sleep, wake up with suple skin I promise! Its tooooo greasy to wear in the day but its ok for at night! Also, they have daily calming creme....which is gently and REALLY nice. LOVE IT! Right now I am still 10 days pre-accutane, so I put this on maybe 1-2x a week at night but my best friend has really dry skin and it works so good on him!
Good luck - I was pretty scared to be honest but the first week has been ok for me - my pores look alot bigger than normal but my friend commented today that my skin actually looked radiant (the bits without pimples of course!) Might try the aquaphor once the dryness kicks in - thanks for the tip! x
heeey Lilbee, Ive just read your post now. Here's a update, my first week was dreadful! I was sleepy, migraines (which I dont usually have), my lips were dry and my skin on my chin started peel. I think on day 10, I started getting pimples on my neck. Its pretty strange because I dont usually get it there :/

For now, I would say make sure you find the right moisturiser for dry skin because your skin will become very sensitive. And if you are going out make sure apply SPF, regardless of sun or not, apply it! :D I thought I didnt have to because there is hardly any sun London and now it looks like I am constantly embarrassed. hahah! silly me!
Wow, thats been my first week...pimples on my neck day 4 though... and now, day 10 a cankersore :(
