My new theory is that Benzoyl peroxide prevents acne by peeling your face and then reducing clogged pores. I used benzaclin for a week since I ran out of Topical clindamycin (I now have a tube I filled at the pharmacy yesterday). My face became very dry. But then I laid off for a day or so and my face started peeling. My question is, if I stick with benzaclin, will it make my skin clearer and more smooth? I will never stop using topical clindamycin and tretinoin, I just want to find a way to work benzaclin into my treatment regimen. I think if I do I should follow the directions and use it twice daily. Anyone go through drying scaly skin with a benzoyl peroxide treatment and then later (as your skin adjusts) end up with smooth clear skin? I want to prevent new pimples on all fronts..
