Day 3

  • DAY 2
  • DAY 1

I'm on day 3 of my routine - Phisohex and Benzac 5%.
I haven't noticed a lot of change (probably because I am only on day 3) but I have noticed less break outs then usual.
I've never seen someone with skin as bad as mine so I'm not sure if this routine will work or not. But I am going to stick to it and let you all know if it worked for me. If you have any suggestions/questions, feel free to message me Posted Image

Not sure what those are (prescription topicals?) What is your daily skincare routine? also what foundation are you using? I went to an acne clinic...and my face is as bad as yours if not worse...I am almost clear just have alot of red blotchy PIH left over (although I just started accutane bc I want to get rid of this stuff for good) What I did was start a regimen and switch my makeup (turns out most makeups and cleansers have acne causing ingredients even though they say non-comodogenic etc) Try switching to Loreal Infallable makeup...thats what Im using now...its approved by the acne clinic I go to, covers amazing, and Walreens usually has is buy one get on 1/2 off....Just a little idea, every little thing helps ;)
Phisohex is just an anti-bacterial facewash, the Benzac gel is a topical I bought from a local pharmacy (wasn't a prescription) which contains 5% Benzoyl Peroxide. For a moisturiser, I use a brand called "Simple". I wash my face in the morning with Phisohex, apply the "Simple" moisturiser 5 minutes later. In the afternoon I wash my face with Phisohex, followed by applying Benzac 5 mintues later. I wash the Benzac off after 2 hours and apply the moisturiser 5 minutes later. I want to try something like accutane if the Benzac doesn't work but I'm scared of the side effects of it. :/ I changed my make-up about two weeks to a brand called "Almay" which is a blemish healing liquid foundation. I also use a powder foundation called "Skin Loving Minerals" because I feel that the liquid foundation alone doesn't provide enough coverage for me. I might switch to Loreal though when I run out. Thanks heaps for the tips! :)
