Okay so I am going on a low-mid level chelation dose and I'm looking for specific doses that I need to take. I'm looking at a minimum of 6 months but I could take it for years if I choose.
I plan on using Chlorella, cilantro and ALA. Let's assume that I have plenty of all the other nutrients in my diet becuase I do. Ones I've read that are related to chelation are calcium, zinc, vitamin C, melatonin, various fats, etc.... I have plenty of these. My fish sources are as low as you can get in terms of heavy metals, I don't have any fillings, don't really use bad cleaning products, etc... I exercise tons, eats an absolute boat load of good food, veggies, fruits, good fats, protein, all of it. So how much of these three things do I need to take? I eat about 2 tbsp of cilantro each day anyway becuase I love it and love cooking with it. Is that enough? Now I want to use chlorella and ALA to get the metals out once they are mobalized. I'm not going to be using cellulase because it's too expensive. How much of each do I take per day? Do I take breaks? I read somewhere that 300-500mg's of chlorella before each meal and then cilantro with each meal. I also heard 3 weeks on and then take a break for 1 week. Is this right and how do i use ALA with all this? I'm getting tested in a few weeks but my work has an awesome health plan where supplements are part of the deal so why not? If I eat cilantro all day anyway why not use something to remove all that mobalized heavy metals? Thanks for the help.

So I passed hundreds of 'stones' today without doing any flush. I was really busy and didn't eat much at all except for 2 large avocados, some nuts, and a salad with a some olive oil/balsamic vinegar dressing, but not much olive oil (I usually eat far far more). I ended up passing all these green/yellow/whatever stone of all sizes, chaff and nothing much else.
The same thing happened a day ago. I also ate tones of avocados and mostly fatty foods that day too. I've done a few flushes a year ago because I wanted to take the results to a lab to prove what they were but nothing since then. I also never got nearly this much stuff out when I did the three flushes. Is it possible to physically conract the gall bladder into expelling stones? I have been doing about 400 bicycle crunches a day recently.

Why is it that after you reach a certain age your healing drops so dramatically? I understant it basically but I'm hoping that there is an answer that I can use myself and nothing absolute.
Case in point is that I used to heal rapidly and without any sign until I was about 21. After that I would get redmarks like crazy, despite not picking and improved hygienics and not changing anything in terms of lifestyle. Thank god I don't have acne anymore but I still heal slower with other wounds. Is it a decrease in hormones? Am I not absorbing certain vitamins or minerals? I understand you can increase things like vit. C, Zinc, etc... but I already take the RDA at least in the best forms. I eat tons of veggies, lot's of protein and good fats (Even my beef is grass fed only), exercise everyday, etc... yet I still can't get to the healing rate I had a few years ago. And this was a dramatic and sudden drop in healing too, over the course of a month maybe. Maybe try Q-10? Melatonin(I know they gave thousands of times the melatonin that is in a regular pill to a bunch of people over the course of years with no ill side effects and only mild drousiness in some people)? I posted it in this section as I would enjoy some scientific links or studies as to why we heal a lot faster when we are younger.

So I've been primarily a nutrition forum guy because I don't have acne anymore but I'd like to post what I think is a great alternative to the baby brush. I shave the old fashioned way, using a safety razor, shaving soap, and a badger brush. It's a much better shave and my skin looks fantastic. In fact, I get carded anytime I'm out or buying liquor, and I'm 25 (Drinking age here is 18). It's partially due to my genetics but I don't have that hard partied and weathered look most post-college guys seem to have (Even though I've lived a more stressful life than most). One of the key reasons is becuase of the badger brush.
A good badger brush will cost you about $25 to start but will literally last you decades if you take care of it. It does a better job exfoliating than a baby brush yet it's not as harsh as a synthetic shaving brush or those wooden handled bristle brushes that was popular a few years ago here. Now of course I shave my beard area with it but for a while now I've also used it on my entire face, including my lower neck, forehead, etc... I do this everyday but I have very tough skin. Before when I used TCA, Jessner, etc... I could go buck wild and it wouldn't have a negative effect on my skin. What I do is whisk it all over my face using light pressure, like how a hairdresser brushes the hair off your shoulders before they take the apron off. No real pattern behind it. You can buy cheaper ones at any drugstore but they will be synthetic and you will have to brush lighter I would think. Oh yes, you can use the brush dry or after you have cleaned your face you can lather some non irritating cleanser on it and use it wet. I've went months using each method and they both work great for me.

Okay so I haven't had acne for years now and I hung around to correct many false ideas. It seems that over the course of 4 or so years, I have seen that every single issue, no matter how scientific and complicated, repeating itself year after year. So with that I quit giving advice and had faith that people would use the search function.
The one thing that I haven't found though is an good guide to nutrition. An up to date book, or website, getting rid of all they hype and focusing on the science. What we know. I was hoping that some of you may know of such a book. I know a lot of it and my health is perfect right now but it would be really nice to have all this information in one guide, as opposed to 100 different bookmarks in firefox. Just to clarify I'm not looking for Dr. Wiel, any fad books, or books on alternative nutrition that doesn't make sense. I'm also not looking for gov't madated books as we all know the food pyramid is a joke and there is much false information going around about nutrition. I guess I want to share this book, if it exists, with friends and family, and for myself to look at every once in a while. I'm just tired over the demonizing of certain things like saturated fats, eggs, cholesterol, alcohol, etc... The misinformation on things like organic produce, glycemic levels and insulin levels, mineral interactions like sodium-potassium, etc... I basically feel like there is no good information out there for us that is easily accessible. If any of you know of such a book, or even maybe two or three that cover a huge portion of nutrition, I would appreciate it. |
