Does anything actually work for scars?

I've been reading so much of these scar topics but it seems not much if any people have had success. Then I also read about those poeple that say scars cannot be removed because it's like regenerating body parts like limbs that you've lost. This is very discouraging but Sometimes I do wonder will or is there even a cure for scars or a way in which they really would GO away. I gues this is in the wrong section for the message board?

Mandelic and lactic acid

They are supposedly good for red marks. One thing I wanted to get clear is that they are different acids right? When I click on the link for lactic acid peels in the products to use section of this board for red marks it goes to mandelic acid topic instead of a lactic acid topic. Either way the main point of my posts like many posts here I believe is...does either work for redmarks at ALL? or pitted scarring? Mostly I just want to know if it works for redmarks. Cuz I hate mine. But I'm sure I'm not the only one as there are a lot of people on this site.

Oxygen peptide A is in the acne free scar eraser which I don't know if it works or not. So I wanted to ask has either of the 2 or acne free scar eraser worked for your scars?
