mineral makeup advice

makeup remover irritates my face since im using RAM!! will regular face wash (like oil free neutrogena, cetaphil) remove mineral makeup without leaving any residue or causing breakouts?

any insight would be greatly appreciated!!

retinoids and BHA (salicylic acid)

ive been using RAM .04 for almost 2 weeks now and i want to start using BHA (salicylic acid). i have paulas choice 2% BHA liquid and was wondering if i should use it before or after the RAM .04??? my skin isnt sensitive to BHA and i have had good luck with it in the past!!! i like to keep things simple so the least amount of products is definitely ideal.

ANY advice or stories/personal experiences about BHA/RAM would be great!!!

Retin a micro .04

For a bit of background im 20 years old with no history of acne, however i think this was due to the fact that ive swam since i was 12 and being in the pool constantly exfoliated my skin. ive recently stopped swimming because of CALIFORNIA STATE BUDGET CUTS (grrrrr) and im convinced that my skin has no idea how to exfoliate properly.

i am plagued with tonnssss of whiteheads which occasionally become inflamed and full of gunk. gross. unfortunately i scar easily as well so any pimple leaves its mark for at least 2 months . . .if im lucky. . . . im hoping that retin a micro helps because im tired of gross bumpy looking skin and scars (the bane of my existance!!!). Also when i do get those pussfilleddisgusting zits they last FOREVER i mean they dont heal like a normal person (i.e a couple days) they slowllllyyy deflate then leave a circle of discoloration that has to peel off.

AM
SA facewash

PM
SA facewash
RAM .04
topical erythromycin when i think something feels inflamed

should i be using the topical before or after the RAM? ive been using it after . . .


DAYS 1-6
New whiteheads popped up on my cheeks and a slight pink flush. on a side note my skin is super resiliant and can withstand just about any acne treatment (i supposed this is from constant immersion in chlorine water?) AHA/BP/SA never sting/burn even at the highest consentrations. so far ive had some slight flaking, but no burning, scaling, or stinging. the new whiteheads are super tempting to pop, but ive learned the hard way that popping a whitehead almost always becomes infected.

DAY 8
whiteheads seem to be growing in size/going to make their presence known soon . . .ugh that means NOTICABLE ZITS more of that pink flush, its not too pink its looks like i just got back from the gym or running. i had some dying zits on the left and right cheeks which definitely seem to be peeling off, this is good.
