Hi everyone,

So I was at the gym and suddenly realized that all over my forehead (but pretty much only on my forehead) I had what appeared to be red marks, but really bad... patchy and bad looking-- and clearly under my skin/ no raised bumps etc.

I had been walking around in the morning outside on a windy street in Toronto and this seemed the most likely cause to me... it's not itchy, it just looks like suddenly appearing red marks. In fact, it looked like patches of dry skin, like when your skin goes red from being dry. When I was outside in the cold I noticed my eyes were particularly irritated by the cold out, so maybe this is what caused this rash?

Does this make sense? My skin has been great after Accutane and I am worried about what this is sad.gif ... I left the gym early out of embarassment. Did anyone else have this?

Hey everyone,

I have heard different opinions and want to know the truth-- how long does Accutane stay in your system after you finish? Someone said two months?

Cuz I have been finished Accutane for not quite 3 weeks, but was on a high dose (80mg) for my moderate (but irritated/sore) acne and for my body weight (135 lb.).

I just want to be reassured that I won't break out again. My skin right now is perfect, and I never did have oily skin.

Hey everyone,

I am now off Accutane and wanted to know-- Is getting facials good for your face to prevent acne? Should I be getting regular facials? What would a dermatologist say about this?

OR

Should I be doing something else like chemical peels? I am trying to figure out what is the best approach to keeping my face clear, both economically (has to be affordable/sustainable) as well as in terms of effectiveness.

Thanks!!!

Genuine Health™ PERFECT SKIN...

1) Can I take this if I am already taking Vitamin E (800IU) per day?

2) Is the "For Men" formation a gimmick? Should I buy the women's kind of men's kind?

3) Are there any interactions with it/ things I should not take directly with it? ie. acidophilus probiotics, lactase enzyme pills, vitamin E

Thanks so much!!!

Hi everyone--- PLEASE ignore the length of this post and help me out if you can!!!

So I had my Accutane dose reduced to 40mg/day for the last month of my treatment because it was making me sick. In the first months it never did this at all.

But halfway through that final month, I am finding my stomach rejecting it as it builds up in my system. I frequently have stomach issues. Even taking lactase enzymes before I eat and taking probiotics (which take away problems related to dairy/food, etc.).

I am going to have to stop taking Accutane early, I am thinking, which is okay with me because I have taken a very high dose for five months.

However--- to decide if it's worth it, please help me figure out:

1) Does your body eventually reject Accutane because it's become "allergic" in a sense, and even if I have to come back to Accutane in the future, my body will still give me stomach pain all the time?

OR

2) If I need to return to Accutane in the future, will it be a fresh start, and my body will be able to handle it better? (ie. like the first few months of my first and only course where I didn't have any side effects at all other than drying)

I need to know, because if my body will be able to tolerate Accutane in the future, I am going to stop now and just let my body get back to feeling normal. If my body has become PERMANENTLY "allergic"/irritated by Accutane, then I will finish the course so that I never have to take it again.

Thanks SO much for reading this long post and helping me make a large, defining choice in my treatment!!!

-Andrew

PS. Why does Accutane cause stomach inflammation? Is Vitamin A hard on the stomach? I am curious as to this phenomenon's reason for occurring.
