My name is Khatol and I've had acne since I was 16. I started with Proactive (at 19), worked Great! I had clear skin or two years. I always had hair on my face so I started waxing/or threading. I've been breaking out like crazy! The Proactive is not working at all. I've started on Kate Somerville's product On the 9!, its been 3 weeks of no waxing or threading, I'm going in for threading on Tuesday(hope i Don't breakout)
Can someone explain why I am breaking out when I get threading done? |

irritation/ingrown hairs. exfoliate that day before you go, and go right home and use a plain lotion rather than theirs.
------------
AM wash alternate between Grandpa's Thylox Soap, oat & peppermint soap, and Selsun Blue Moisturizing. very gently; Dan-style apply aloe vera gel, Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream PM wash oil cleansing method w/ avocado, castor, and lavender oils apply straight ACV, finacea, aloe vera gel, shea butter General using various supplements only when my body seems to need a "boost" stopped wearing makeup except for a little concealer for special occasions; skin has improved dramatically acne is now cleared up thanks to tazorac, which i recommend highly |

Hey Khatol Jaan.
I also thread as well and I agree, it makes me break out as well. Do you thread your whole face (forehead, chin, sides of face, etc) or just your eyebrows? I do just eyebrows but I always break out afterwards as well. I usually use an astirgent (Neutrogena pore -- something) then apply my moisturizer which is for acne-prone skin (clean-and-clear cream) and let it sink in before I go in. I usually leave with bumps and scars (if she's really rough, lol) when I'm done but afterwards, I immediately use my astringent over my eyebrows where she threaded (it burns like hell) and put my emergency spot treatment over it (which irritates at first but it cools down) and it's prevented me from breaking out so far. I just think cuz the oils from her hands from resting her hands on my face are what's breaking me out. hope this helped.

Jim: Do you remember what you said to me on my first day of work, just before you walked me over to my desk? Pam: Yeah ... 'enjoy this moment, because you're never going to go back to this time before you met your desk-mate Dwight.' Jim: That's when I knew. You? Pam: You came up to my desk and you said, 'this might sound weird, and there's no reason for me to know this, but that mixed berry yogurt you're about to eat is expired.' Jim: That was the moment that you knew you liked me. Pam: Yep. Jim: Wow. Can we make it a different moment? Pam: Nope. |
