I take about 3-4 grams of vitamin C everyday. I have finished accutane and i found that i would get a tiny red spot sometimes, no puss or anything, just a little red blemish. Taking vitamin c (500mg chewable tablets, 2 at a time, 3 or 4 times a day) has stopped that and improved my ability to repair (which is very important after accutane) and improved my overall skin tone and appearance.

Anyone else had a similar experience?

This is so strange. When i work out hard or run or anything i wont become much redder than normal. but anything sex related like having sex or just making out and stuff, or even when i'm 'playing cricket solo' my face will go bright red. i am completely comfortable with my body and all that and i always have sex its not like im embarrassed or dont know what im doing. this never used to happen and now its affecting my sex life, sometimes i avoid it even just because i ddont wanna turn into a tomato. my g/f is ok with it tho.
i dont think this is psychological but logically it seems like its the only thing that could cause it...

all i use is 5%bp face wash. 1 month post tane atm

anybody experience this? any advise?

Instead of me going into every thread and saying if ur on doxy or mino that in my experience blah blah i wil just make this thread for others to read and hopefully get some good advise.

In my own experience when u take the pills they work, then when you are off them it is worse than when you begun. i know becasue ive done it. if i had my time over i never would have taken those shitty pills and gone straight to accuntane. Accutane has changed my life and i am ever thankful. Maybe i never would have needed it had i have just never taken any prescription pills or prescription topicals, which are all so that you can go back to the doctor every month and get a defferent one, to give you 5 minutes of hope and them a quick buck.

Peace

hey all i have been on these forums for a little while, and before that i was a lurker like most. i had some moderate acne since about 16. it prosggressively got worse over the next 2-3 years. i have been on most antibiotics available and every over the counter application. I always knew about accutane and thought that it would just make me look very terrible before it got any good (i.e very dry skin) But i had never spoken to a doctor about it. so i went to a dermatoligist. The day i went there all he said was ar you looking for a cure? and i said yes. so i was prescribed accutane that day. Firstly i didnt think my case was that bad that i could actually go on it, but he put me on 40mg p/day for 9 months. I am off to the derm today to have a laser treatment for the first time to remove some little red spots and some of the scarring i have. i just wanted to let everyone know that i have been through the whole acne thing an i can answer a lot of your questions. If you were thinking of going on accutane just do it. If you hate it then stop it, simple. BUT if it works? your free biggrin.gif

I dont have a before pic but it was like i would have always 2 or 3 massive pimples all the time, in the worst locations on my face. Well heres a pic of me now (ps im a little shinny from some moisturiser i just put on)
