Hi there i am very interested in purchasing this product but i have pretty oily skin... do you think this would be a bad choice for me!!! would you say it was matte..??

its not either really its just like a moisturiser.
i personally dont find it greasy so i dont think you wil find it a problem

go into boots an have a look around.
but these are all recommended simply because they dont cause/aggrivate acne.
so i would try and get one of the products listed above as it took ages to find them all. and there are a LOT of moisturisers/sunscreens around.

Has anyone tried Ambre Solaire Sheer Protect SPF30 "very high protection 100% non-greasy cream"?

Any opinions on it?

I'm trying to decipher the ingredients list at the moment - it doesn't say it's non-comedogenic, and I think it may be contributing to my current acne outbreak.

FiShY, looks like these protect against burnign UVB rays, what about UVA? Do they protect against those?

I went into Boots, Lloyds Pharmacy, Savers, Asda and Sainsbury's which are all toiletry shops aswell as two supermarkets... and I couldn't find a simple sun lotion anywhere! AHHH... they were rather small shops though... so where can I buy? Should I try a bigger boots?

Try either a bigger boots store, or superdrug. I can never find (or should I more appropriately say, rarely find), decent sunscreens from supermarkets.

Cleansers:

Act Washbar - Quite Drying and Acne Medicated but a good washbar for areas you feel acne isnt bad enough to need constant application of bp. I use the act washbar on my cheeks/forehead/neck and its excellent and a real bargain at £1.79 + p&p price depending on where in europe.

Biore Oil Control Cleanser - A cleanser not washbar, i used this anywhere i applied bp to as its very mild and gentle, perfect to prep area before application of bp and doesnt leave area dry etc.

Boots Tea Tree + Witch Hazel Foaming Face Wash - Another cleanser ive tried, i stil have it altho i dont use now my flatmate does. As i liked the Biore Cleanser Better.

Panoxyl Aquagel 2.5 40g - The only 2.5% Bp i know of available in the Uk which is OTC. Some member use but like we all know its known to cause redness, none the less available at most pharmacys etc.

Brevoxyl Cream 40g - I thought id add this as it was the one i started off with, its a cream bp at 4% not 2.5, however it did its job at the start. I came off once i realised i could get the CSR gel at a good price to the uk and my skin was a lot better once i changed. I do however have sensitive skin so that might have been the problem.

Moisturisers:


Eucerin Dry Skin Relief Face Cream with 5% Urea - The only moisturiser id suggest in the UK, id say 95% of UK members use this moisturiser, its EXCELLENT. I used a crappy moisturiser before this one and it was leaving my skin flakey etc. Once i switched it was AMAZING how much difference a quality moisturiser made.
My skin was hardly flakey etc and was 10x better. The only moisturiser i ever suggest to UK members. It is however an AHA moisturiser so id only suggest after a few weeks into the regimen etc etc etc.

Oxy on the spot is another bp product. It has 2.5% bp in it

I was at the airport and got some simple face protector spf 20 for £3.65 (it was reduced from £7 something). So far, I'm loving it

I'm from the UK and am having problems finding supplies listed on Dan's website. I have already ordered the panoxyl 2.5% BP, but regarding the other products are the effective in use for the clear skin regimen?

What do you mean ordered it? It's available in most pharmacies in the UK. Costs less than £3 but it's very irritating. You would be far better getting Oxy On The Spot which is also available in most pharmacies but a little bit more expensive, much less irritating though. Everything you need for the regimen is available in Superdrug or Boots, just different brand names.

Heyo there! Just feeling a bit confused...I get the impression that uk-ers are using eucerin moisturiser because it contains lactic acid but I can only find one with urea which (if i can remember a-level chemistry) is different...sorry if I'm being dumb but I'm terrified to put anything new on my face as absolutely everything I try seems to make it worse so I want to make sure I choose the right products first time else it will take weeks to undo any damage

yes! Oxy-on-the-spot is available in the Uk and Ireland, where as Neutrogena - on the -spot is north american.
