Superdrug often do half price Oxy on the spot, and it's one of those times again - at least in my local one. A good time to stock up.

Hi, i've seen the Clearasil Ultra adverts on the tele and was wondering if anyone has used these products and if it help mild acne? if so would you recommend it? i'm currently using Neutrogena Visibly Clear 2-in-1 Wash and Mask which is very good and will be happy to stick to it, but just wondering if its worth trying Clearasil.
Thanks!

Am a little confused by the rejig on here, but there we go. I've been taking Dianette for about the last year and had a horrendous migraine for the first time in my life last weekend. Have been advised by my doctor to stop taking Dianette because of the slightly increased risk of stroke it carries, which he says people who have migraines shouldn't be exposed to. Don't have an actual appointment with him for another few weeks but just wondering if anyone had any ideas for what to do next....
Also while I remember, since November Dianette is no longer automatically free to everyone, you have to get your prescription endorsed 'for contraceptive use', worth asking for otherwise you have to go back or pay.

hey, i bought this product and it is clearing up my acne real well. i got it from boots seeing as its 2 Neutrogena products for £5 so i got some face wash to. to buy it on its own without the offer is cost around £4.30 which is very expensive seeing as its only a little 15ml tube you get! but it is a good offer boots have on at the moment and recommend this product to anyone.
I always find that Neutrogena products do a top job.

Hello,
I have one brand new unused 4oz large size tube of Dan's CSR gel for sale - £6.50 (includes postage to a UK address).
(I ordered online but by the time it turned up I'd started using another BP product which seems okay so I don't want to risk switching).
Let us know if anyone's interested in it.
Thanks!

Has anyone had any success with the Clinique 3-Step? I'm using it now after soooo many people told me how good it is so I thought i'd atleast have a go. Doesn't seem to do much more than any other products, which are cheaper. It doesn't really clear up your acne but it does make your skin itself better I think. Necessary? Probably not. I'm sure there are other things that could give better results. I'm also using their new Turnaround Mask which is quite good though, my scars are disappearing and the redness from them isn't so bad now. Not sure how good it is to use though as it's microdermabrasion - so like a chemical peel. Is that really healthy to sell in an open store?

UK'ers with 'moderate' acne, have you used the clear skin regiment as suggested by Dan? If so what products have you used? I dont really want to import so looking for Boots, Superdrug, Tescos, Sainsburys etc readily available products??
Also what did you processes were you using??
At the moment I have just started using freederm.
Wake up, drink 1 large glass of water, shower with Neutrogena Visibly Clear Gentle Exfoliating Wash, dry, dress, apply FREEDERM in a complete layer of both cheeks, under chin, round nose. Wait 10minutes or so, and im very dry so I apply Neutrogena Visibly Clear Oil-Free Moisturiser to dry patches [namely round my nose, chin and patches on my cheeks.] I am a bit concerned by applying moisturiser tho, is this not cancelling out the freederm ?
Then before i goto bed, have a wash with just normal dove soap, apply freederm wait 10-15 minutes then goto bed.
What would I have to change to be following a UK adaptation of dans regime!
Appreciate anyones help on this

Using Oxy OTS currently which seems OK but just not "great". I've read good stuff about other BP's and am wondering where to get them? Neutrogena, PanOxyl.... whatever (will work).

Hi ppl,
I have just finished 4 months of minocycline and my GP has said I should go see a dermatologist. She said "roaccutane is amazing at clearing up acne and there are only a few cases of it causing depression."
Well I’ve managed to get an appointment in 3 weeks which I cool since it seems some people have to wait months.
I was wondering what to expect when I see the dermatologist*. All I want is for my bacne to clear up and to have no more oily skin. I figure its worth going on roaccutane since I’ve had acne for nearly 8years and I doubt its going to go away on its own.
* what will happen on my first appointment? will i walk out of there with a course of roaccutane?

Hi,
Ok,this has nothing to do with acne. But I am thinking about moving to England with some family.
I'm looking to move to Canterbury, but the school I want to go to is in Manchester.
What I would like to know is how far is Canterbury from Manchester.
If someone could answer this for me I would really appreciate it,thank you.

Hello everyone, long time lurker, first time poster

Not too sure if this is the right place to post but here goes..
I'm looking for a salicylic acid product for the blackheads on my nose.
I would like it to be around 1.5% to 2% and, more importantly, have very little other gubbins in to! No perfume, colourings etc.. as few ingredients as possible, if possible! No parabens as well would be great! It's got to be from the UK, preferably if I can just walk into Boots or Superdrug and buy it. I'm also not sure if I want a gel, cream or lotion..
Your suggestions are very welcome
Thank you indeed

I'm currently on the Jessfolation resume where I exfoliate 4-5 times every 7 days along with applying Oxy On The Spot cream (BP 2.5%)....
I'm getting pretty good results. Acne is kept under control and the redness in spots seems to fade quite quickly, but my complexion still seems kinda "blah"...
Somewhat dry from time to time, small marks here and there along with small affected areas of acne and very little color....
I'm looking for a product that I can use in conjunction with my current regime, be it a moisturized or a toner or whatever else is on the market (sorry, I don't follow skin products too well) to kind of give some life and color to my skin along with hopefully clearing the complexion even better. Can anyone give some suggestions as to soemthing they've used?
Some kinda moisturizer or cream or toner or???
Thanks...

I have had acne for years now but then I am a teenager so it's expected. I have only being using a face wash and a moisturiser which didn't make any difference but a few days a go I got 2.5% panoxyl aquagel and followed the regime but to be fair not exactly.
I only put the bp gel on at night as I don't really have the time in the morning and my acne is clearing up so fast. I have used bp before but in higher strengths.
My face wash does over dry a bit but as my acne is clearing up nicely I don't care
I'm just annoyed it took so long for me to start getting rid of my acne and using the wrong products for years.

Hi, Just registered Im 25 from the U.K. Just wanted to introduce myself and get some responses.
It seems quite hard to get certain supplies for this regimen and I would like everyones opinion of what is best to get for each stage. I want something I can get quite easily from a shop i.e boots, superdrug. But could order online if really needed.
I have Boots Skin Kindly Cleanser and Mosituriser with SPF 15. Anyone know if there any good and ok to use with the regimen?. Someone suggested Cetaphil(is this cool, as quite expensive to import to u.k?). Any recommendations would be ace.
Im also going to use either Panoxyl 2.5 Aqua-Gel or proactivs 2.5 b.p lotion, what do you guys think is best?(as already have both), my face tends to be shiny and I dont want it to be shiny.
I would use dans gel(bought the book mate- it was spot on). But with postage and ordering from U.S bit expensive at the mo.
I respect what Dan has done, I have tried so many things and hopefully this will work. But the books I normally get dont tell you "EXACTLY" how to apply it, and Dan seems to have done that quite well. It also is very easy to understand just as If you were talking to a mate.
Recently did Retin A, for about 2 weeks with minocycline , seems to be ok, but spots not going as fast as would like. Do I have to wait a bit before I can start Regimen?
Look Forward to You Responses. If Dan Could let us know about plans for b.p gel in u.k and maybe further products that would be great.
Cheers

This site recommends a good razor but i don't see shaving foam or gel recommended. I'm pretty sure most of them don't help acne so can anyone suggest one that is good for shaving and doesn't irritate the skin in anyway?

Has this dried out anyone's skin?
And what do you think of it overall?
I'm getting quite good results, but it seems very on and off. Also, my skin is drying out quite a bit. I'm not sure if that's this or the cleanser I use (Dove).
Finally, are there any products very similar to this that you have had better experience with?

If anyone else out there is looking (like me) for the Eucerin moisturiser that Dan recommends in the UK, i.e. a realistic, sustainable, affordable alternative to ordering them online and getting them posted from the States, please contact the manufacturer Beiersdorf to ask them to stock it here.
I emailed them this week to find out if Eucerin Skin Renewal Day Lotion SPF15 is available in the UK, but was advised that it isn't. However I was told "I have passed a copy of your letter [sic] to the Product Manager for EUCERIN, as we are always pleased to receive comments and suggestions from our customers as this helps with future planning of our product range."
So, it seems that customer input on their product range is actually welcomed, which is a good opportunity for those of us in the UK trying to find good supplies for our Clear Skin Regimen.
The email address for the manufacturer is: ConsumerRelationsUK@Beiersdorf.com.
Would you (and everyone else in the UK who is reading this and interested in the product, or not even hugely interested in the product right now but might be

) ) please email Beiersdorf and tell them how much you want to buy this product and ask when they will be stocking it in the UK. It may help to mention that it is recommended on www.acne.org to explain why there is so much interest in it.
Thanks!

I'm not sure what wash I want to use, I'm doing a complete acid regimen with toner and all... Currently I've been using the l'oreal things, but I've run out of toner... so meh. I need to buy some more but not sure if this is the best things for my face, I have really dry skin especially around my eyes and it can be really painful.
Does anybody have any advice on this? or whether I should just abandon this.
