I've had five Fraxel Re:stores (very aggressive treatments) and two Sicton Profractional treatments. The Fraxel was more or less useless, and the Profractional certainly helped slightly. Now I am considering Dermarolling instead? Opinons??

I've been reading and researching about needling and dermarolling. I have had many Fraxel and Profractional treatments, have used topical creams, numerous microdermabrasions, etc. etc. Although there has been an improvement, it is very small.
A couple weeks ago, I took an ordinary (very thin) needle and started needling this large boxcar scar that was by my temple. It didn't really hurt, but it was strange hearing the "popping" sounds as the needle breaks through scar tissue. wow... big difference. The scar was almost invisible! I was impressed. Started looking around the Edmonton area for a doctor or technician who offered dermarolling. I couldn't find any clinics so had decided to purchase the kit for approx $200 off the internet (haven't done it yet). Bur tonight, after dinner I sat down at my vanity table , and just started jabbing my scars, over both left and right cheeks. I started one, and then I'd think, okay one more... and then that's it..... I did them all. What have I done! I am extremely worried.. once I started, I just couldn't stop. I'm swollen a bit and red in the aeras. Plus the areas that were needled look terrible.

I've read some posts here about needling scars (but the posts are six years old). Has anyone had needling done lately? I'm very interested in this, it sounds similar to dermarolling. But needling sounds like you can do a few scars at a time, and also you can do it yourself. Would be really interested to hear more about this.

I really need some feedback or help here. I've asked before if anyone out there has had cysts that hang around for years and years. I have a few behind my ears that have been there for at least 15 years. Sometimes I can squeeze white puss out of them.
I also had one on my cheek for over 10 years, and the derm lanced and drained that. He also warned us about the smell. It was awful. These are the hard bumps that never really come to ahead. Has anyone out there ever had any like this?

I had researched if there was some sort of temporary "filler" that you could put on your face before foundation to help hide and fill acne scars. I heard stuff about SmashBox Primer and received it about a week ago. I was actually amazed at how it did help. You put it on your face before foundation (and we all know that foundation over acne scars often looks worse than no makup). It smoothens and prepares the skin. Once you apply the foundation (I used Dermablend and just a little bit), you smooth is all over with your fingers. I especially dab it on the bad areas where I have deep scars. And even though it doesn't conceal it all, it sure helps. I was pleased.
