I need help in trying to decide what to pack for my daughter. She will be going with her 7th grade class on a camping trip for three days. Due to minimal packing and minimal time to do things while she is there, she is going to have to stop her normal skin routine for the 3 days. Right now she is doing mostly natural things (Dessert Essence Thoroughly Clean Face Wash, Tea Tree Oil, ACV, spot treat with Sulfur, Moisturize with Jojoba and Aloe). She is not totally clear but not as bad as she was. Anyway, do you think if I just pack her Cetaphil Cleanser, a toner and maybe Cetaphil moisturizer that would be ok? eusa_think.gif Or do you think that would cause her to break out again? I do not want her to break out bad while she is there because these middle school kids are cruel and she has already been dealing with them for the past two years now since she started getting acne. Many nights of crying and asking "why me?" "everyone else has such nice skin!". Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated! Thanks so much!!

Ok, so today I was watching our local news (Philly area) and they were talking about White Tea and its' benefits. Well it turns out that studies proved that it is better than green tea! They stated that it was a great aide in weight loss and also great at helping achieve healthy skin!! I believe it has more anti-oxidants than green tea. It also has less caffeine than green tea. Just thought I would pass it along to others. I don't recall if they stated how many cups you should have a day but if you are already a green tea drinker maybe substituting a cup or two a day of your green tea with white tea may be beneficial! They may have the full story on their web-site (google NBC10 Philly). eusa_dance.gif

Ok so, I am actually here for my daughter. She is a young teen who has been struggling with acne for about 2 years now (since she was 10/11). We have been doing pretty good so far at keeping the major breakouts at bay but how do you get rid of the stubbern bumps?? Mostly on her forehead. They never seem to want to leave! We have tried so many RX creams and ointments from the Dermatologist. She was on different antibiotics. Well, we gave that all up and trying a more natural approach:

Dessert Essence face wash with tea tree oil (morning and night)
ACV toner (50 ACV/50 Water)
Tea tree oil spot treat sometimes in the morning
Acnomel or Bye Bye Blemish spot treat at night (sulfur)
Moisturized with Jajoba Oil and sometimes Aloe Vera

She has also given up milk and most other dairy products as much as she can. Also cut out sugar (not totally but only has it minimally) and has been eating more darker fruits and veggies.

So what I am trying to say I guess is, her face has been doing so much better since this switch. Now she just as those stubbern bumps on her forehead and some breakouts on her back. (We thought folliculitis so once or twice a week she uses Head and Shoulders or Nizoral in the shower and leaves it on for about 5 min before rinsing it off). She will also get a pimple here or there but they seem to go away alot sooner.

So does anyone out there no what she could do for the stubbern bumps??? Maybe something that works on both her forehead and back? Any input would be sooooo appreciated! biggrin.gif

Hi everyone!
I have been lurking on this web-site for months now and let me tell you I got so much good advice by reading the posts and reviews. I actually go on here and joined today for my daughter. She is 12 (13 in June) and since I help her most with her skin care then I figured I would join myself. She is a recent member also but as with most kids, she is very busy and does not have the time to come here regularly. Well I do! So here it goes:

My daughter, beautiful girl, has been dealing with acne since she was 10. Early bloomer! Had the acne under control a few times within the past couple years with Dermatologist visits (prescription ointments, creams, antibiotics, etc). Well, I have determined that none of that actually works, not for the long term. So a few weeks ago I took her of the antibiotics (she was breaking out terribly) and started a more natural regime.

She washes her face with a gentle wash twice a day (morning and night) and apply ACV/water (50/50) with cotton balls morning and night. Apply some tea tree oil at night. Aloe Vera gel in the morning with a little Jajoba Oil. Once a week we do the aspirin mask. Another day out of the week we will do another mask (Queen Helene Mint Julep or another natural or homemade kind). Since her last major breakout while on the anti-biotics her face has improved alot! Not clear but easier for her to deal with. (middle school children are mean!!) Since the majority of the big stuff is clearing with the method we are doing I do have a question about the small stuff. Her forehead is the worse part with acne. She gets lots of little bumps that like to hang there for the day. More come out when she sweats (at dance class). Can someone give some advice on how to get rid of them stubborn things? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, she is eating a healthier diet with alot more dark fruits and green veggies. Cut out dairy for the most part. And she will even drink the ACV a few times a week. Drinks lots of green tea and water with lemon. She is already on multi-vitamins made just for teens with acne (Rainbow Lite Teens), Zinc, Fish Oil, B-Complex & C.

Sorry so long! I love to talk and I love to get advice! Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch! eusa_dance.gif
