Never thought I'd see the day

My face has been clearing up a lot, and Ive been working out a bunch as well. So long story short, my friend and I go to a bar last night we've never been to before and its pretty crowded. I was feelin pretty confident so I decided to approach two strangers who also happened to be the best looking girls not just at the place, but probably in town. Now to be fair, Ive read Mystery Method ..but I know for some of us in the acne community, this would normally be a nightmare because we're visualizing an unspoken "ewwwww" the second they see our face. Well not tonight, our two groups of two became a group of four and I felt so pimp. And what night wouldn't be complete without the digits I hate hate hate to say it, but without acne, you will in fact be more social, have more fun, and in turn make new friends.

This is actually working for me

So I've done some experimenting on what I've read around here and yeah, by taking zinc and avoiding dairy products my face hardly gets messed up anymore. I stopped eating cheese, butter, chocolate and milk and I'm reluctantly doing 100mg of zinc at night. I also do fish oil; I'm not sure whether that actually helps with dry skin or not yet.. I hope this isn't all a coincidence but its been three weeks now and I still look good.

Do you ever intentionally make people notice your acne?

Sometimes I feel better about my acne if I say something about it before someone else sees it or gets the chance to. For instance, I could go into work and say 'dangit, today sucks; my acne is acting up'.. and when someone says 'oh that sucks' or 'whatever' it makes me feel as though that person can no longer "notice" my acne because I have already made a point to point it out. I guess it only works on people you know though, not strangers. Has this thought ever crossed anyones mind?

well let me start by saying this was a clothing company, the clothing company for beautiful people. if youre young you probably know that im talking about hollister, its a store in the mall. i know how hard it is to get a job there because ive tried before and was unsuccessful. unless youre recruited by one of them, the most youll get is a courtesy interview where they dont really consider you. i know this because one day when i was looking good, i amazingly WAS actually recruited and thats what they said lol. (recruitment is when they randomly pull you in and ask you to work for them). well, a manager interviewed me which ended up being a few weeks later, and told me to call to schedule a real interview with the district manager.. problem was, my skin was looking increasingly more terrible each day until i decided that it wasnt even worth the time. i looked like $#!+ and knew that i was nowhere near their image requirement anymore. (yes they have one and its not descrimination). well, i pulled the plug on myself and didnt even attempt it. being a manager there is not a great job really, but working there would have definately revitalized my self esteem; its basically a club for anyone who's good looking. but i guess im over it. im glad at least someone there thought i had a chance
