i have to say that tea tree oil really helped for me.. i started with the regimen and just added the oil...i use a q-tip and soak it in the oil and spot treat now.It totall works i found that if i used it all over my face it burned so just use for spot treatment at first. the good thing about tea trea oil is that the more you use, the more it works, it just takes awhile so you need some patience. But believe me i saw the results!!!!

Hi Mexico,
I saw some at the Body SHop, and considered buying it, but chickened ou t. The word "oil" in anything scares me off. How exactly do you use it? I 've heard good things about it. |

I've been Tea Tree Oil for a few years now. When I was 11 I started getting really bad acne (I'm now 19). I started using Tea Tree when I was about 15 and it's the only thing that keeps me clear. I used to just put a whole bunch, undiluted, on my face. After two days I got from a face full of zits to a clear face, and it stayed that way! Now I use Aloë Vera gel to help fade the red marks, and whenever I get a pimple, I spot treat at night with Tea Tree Oil, and then next morning: it's gone!
So after having 8 years of experience with acne I can definitely say that Aloë Vera and Tea Tree are the way to go! Good luck! |

I'm pretty much clear, yes! I do have a zit or two, but they're very small, and not very red, so I don't mind them that much. Whenever I feel one coming up I just dab on some teatree and after two nights the thing is gone :-)
The aloë vera helps a lot with my red marks. Normally after a day or three they've faded a lot. But, I do have some very 'deep' - I guess - red marks, and they take a longer time. I've been putting aloë on them for a few days now, and they're fading, but slower than the other ones... |

well, normally I put on a lot of aloë vera on the red spots at night (it gets absorber really fast) and I put on teatree on my spots. I just drop some on the spot, an then use my finger to put in on nicely.
And I use the tea tree oil from the body shop. It's the ebst I've ever tried! |

Actually if I may summarise it for you: a) the FDA hasn't studied it. b) because they haven't studied it, it could kill you, or cause you to become horribly deformed, or it could make you live forever, but they don't know, because they haven't studied it c) did I mention they haven't studied it? Seriously, this is all cookie-cutter, cover-fda's ass stuff. The warning about contamination is a generic warning about herbals. They're not saying they've ever found contaminated tea tree oil. If you really want to be scared check out the MSDS on silicon dioxide (i.e. sand!) You'll never let your kid play in a sandpit ever!
