Day 1
So this is the start of my (Ro)accutane journey, and here's to a spot free 2009! (fingers tightly crossed!) Having tried every antibiotic for years now and to no availe. I'm currently on the birth control pill Dianette (which when I have taken and stopped in the past has caused my spots to get worse - but it is the only pill which doesn't give me migranes and since I have to be on a pill, this had to be the one). I had my supplies all ready and waiting yesterday:
Aqueous Cream (for every part of my skin) Dry Eye drops Fish oil tablets Vitamin E tablets Vitamin D (with calcium) Simple anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner Having taken my first tablets this morning (2 x 40mg) all I am noticing is my lips being dry but as it's freezing cold outside it could just be because of the weather. I'm hoping the next few days so smoothly as it's NEW YEAR and I don't want to look like a moose!!

I currently use No7. It's one of those that comes in a pen. It does its job okay but not brilliant. What do you use? Inspiration needed!

I'm going to start Roaccutane in about a month and am just compiling a list of products to get to combat side effects. I'm from the UK but could buy products online.
I'd be forever grateful if you could help me choose what products to get by answering these questions! What moisturiser do you use for your face? What moisturiser do you use for your body? What sunblock do you use for your face? What sunblock do you use for your body? I was thinking of using Eucerin 5% Urea for my facial moisturiser (pricey at £10 for a tiny tube) and sunblock maybe from Boots or alternatively combine the two and buy Neutrogena health defense daily moisturiser SPF 45 from Ebay. Thanks!

I will be starting (Ro)Accutane in about a month but was told by my derm I need to go on a birth control pill at the same time
I wanted to hear from anyone who had taken Dianette as their birth control whilst on roaccutane and how they felt it went? And did you stop the dianette at the same time as stopping roaccutane? I have been on dianette in the distant past and remember it was the only pill which didn't give me terrible migranes...but after so many different pills and so many migranes i vowed never to ever go back on the pill and here I am having agreed to go back on Dianette! Thanks!!

I'm currently using Eucerin moisturiser as I have very dry skin (caused by the BP).
However, I really want a moisturiser for the morning with sun protection in that won't aggrivate my acne. What do you use? |
