First off, I recommend using Dermablend Leg Cover. (Not the regular dermablend makeup for face). It is creamy, but applies with nice good coverage. I did not have much trouble matching the skin tone, because I am very pale, so I just used the lightest color. But...I bought it from the Ulta store which has sample tubes out in every color so you can try it out before buying. Perhaps you have a similar store in your area?

My stretch marks are silvery-white (not red) and therefore pretty easy to cover. I squeeze out a small amount and blend over the whole area. I try to use a very small amount of dermablend in a thin layer, keeping in mind that you can always apply more. I don't think it's dry/flakey at all, but it might depend on what area you are applying to? It is thicker than regular makeup and also waterproof. It usually last a few days (even through swimming and showers), unless I purposely apply cleanser and scrub it off.

One other thing - recently I used this and discovered the color wasn't exactly perfect, because I had more of a tan than usual. After applying the dermablend, I dusted bronzing powder over it for color and then it looked great. Hope that helps!
