6 months post-tane update

Alright, so I used to suffer from moderate-severe acne before I began accutane. March 16th, 2009, I stopped taking accutane and have been pretty much clear since then.

Of course, I still get the occasionnal spot, but it goes away in a day or two.

Also, my once-oily skin ( I was literally drowning in oil 2 hours after I showered ) is now pretty much dry, which is easily manageable with a good moisturizer.

Also, it seems as though acid juices and fruit have been a trigger for my acne, just to let you know.

So, dont give up, I know its hard ( I got pretty bad side effects during treatment ) but it was well worth it in the end.

2 months update post-tane

Alright, havent been here for a while ( acne-free hell yeah!) but wanted to tell you what happened since I stopped taking accutane.

When I stopped, I still had a lot of pimples popping out, turned out orange juice was the problem for me.

Since I stopped drinking acid juices, acne diminished to nothing.

Oily skin, however, is back. Big time. I have very oily skin on nose and forehead, and my nose is full of small pimples due to it ( although nothing like cystic acne, still annoying ).

So, acne went away ( for now at least ) but oily skin is back, which I kinda expected

What do y'all think about tanning beds?

Alright so my father is 45 ans still suffers from acne. However, during the summer, he spends most of his days outside and barely has any spots. So I was wodnering ( since my acne obviously came form his genes ) if sun wouldnt help me as well? Of course I would take sun moderately. Recently, after accutane failure, I decided I'd stop using any chemical products on my skin or in my body.

Also are there non-comedogenic tanning lotions?

Accutane failure

Alright so 3 months ago I stopped breaking out like I had no pimples or anything for 2months. Now I'm still on accutane and sicne 1 month been breaking out almost like before, with inflammed bumps and whiteheads that hurt. I have not even 2 weeks to go on my cycle. So has it been a failure? Probably.

I just feel like doing **** all and not put any chemical crap on my skin or in my body anymore. Huge waste of cash and not worth the side effects for me.

eczema on tane?

Alright I'm about 3 months in and one of my arms is all covered in red, burning skin. It's winter here in Canada and started this morning. I put moisturizer on it ( which I had never done although it was dry ) and it stopped burning. So is it possible that I got eczema? No cases in my family also.
