This is mainly for guys who don't have a clue about cosmetic. I just try to keep it simple, ok.
purpose of using cosmetics for guy---> to hide small blemish, red marks and make your skin look clean. If you have active cystic or large inflammed acnes, it is better to leave them alone. The most important thing: Color of your foundation and concealer MUST match your skin color Concealer. CLICK to view photo Use for: hiding baggy eyes, pimples, and other blemishes in small area How to pick: liquid and tube are light weight and have less stay power. Suit normal to dry skin. Cream and stick are thicker and stay longer suit normal to oily skin (because it cling to your skin and won't slip as easily as light weight concealer. Foundation. CLICK to view photo Use for: goes on all over your face to make it looks uniform and smooth. How to pick: oil-based for dry skin, oil-free for oily skin, and water-based for combination skin Powder CLICK to view photo Use for: 'set' your foundation or concealer. Or just use on it's own to help keep your face looking fresh How to pick: 2 choice. Translucent powder (usually white or light color) loose or pressed powder (with color) you have to choose the one that match your skin color. Tip for guy: choose the one WITHOUT shimmer Powder Bronzer CLICK to view photo Use for: When apply correctly...you face will look tan and healthy How to pick: pick the one WITHOUT shimmer. Otherwise your tan will look fake. Recommended brands: (I have to recommend bronzer because non-shimmer bronzers are quite hard to find.) -Dior -Studio5ive -Jean Paul Gaultier -BeneFit -Clarins

MTM gave me this instruction a long while ago and allow me to use in my website. Since he is a teenager, it might be interesting to look at his method of safe fake tan.
This is his first simple list of what he thinks is best for him. MTM favorite tanning products. CLICK This one consists of 4 pages instruction. You can select from menu. I put the product page here for you but you can also look at his method as well. They are also printer friendly version too. Best fake tan products CLICK Please keep in mind that MTM is an Aussie teenager (he was 17 when he gave me his list, I think he is 18 now), so some of these products are Australian. You won't find David Jones, Face of Australian, Amcal or Le Tan product in the US. If you want to read about sunscreen, you can visit My Webpage too. Just select from main menu on your left.

I am a high end snob when it comes to two things "foundation and powder" [-(
My current foundation are: Becca and Laura Mercier Powder foundation: Laura mercier and MAC Powder: Laura Mercier BUT....Today on my way to the church, I just get allergy and I won't dare go in to the church looking like a cherry. I stop at priceline and try to find a quick solution cause I don't have time to go to DJ or go home to get my foundation either. Saw this new sample of Mabelline wonder finish...so I think...why not. To my surprise, I love it. I make my skin feel and look so clean. It goes on creamy and finishes with a powdery texture. I am wearing it for 7 hours now and it still looks as fresh as the first time I apply. Best of all...it is only 1/4 of the price of my regular foundation. =D> (My foundation range from 60AUD$ and more, this one only 15AUD$ on sale) Medium coverage, powder finish foundation. I read the review in Makeupalley.com and it is quite good. http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showrev.../Wonder_Finish/

Come on people....let us know what is good for you.
I'll start. My skin type: Normal to dry. color MAC NC30 with yellow undertone. Foundation & Concealer Rimmel Hydrasense Flawless Hydrating Make Up (foundation): More like tinted moisturizer than foundation. Very light coverage. Great for people who want to even out your skin tone. I love it because that's all I need in foundation. If I want to cover any scar, I use concealer. Rimmel Hydrasense Concealer: I don't like the color selection but I do love the texture. It's very creamy, smooth and blend in well. It looks like you don't have any makeup on your face (but you have to find the match color though). Jane stay calm foundation: I use MAC NC30. And with Jane...I found "Naturally" as a perfect match color. Light coverate. Blush Rimmel mono color in santa rosa....goshhhhh this is the best color for such a cheap price. |
