I always considered deep scarring, the kind that doesnt disapear when you stretch it, the kind you can really feel, and the kind you can put your fingers in. Smoothbeam has taken care of my shallow scarring, but it is some deeper craters that remain, I think I am going to do Subsicsion with them.

I can't actually feel any of my scars with my hands. Can anyone here? -- and if that were the case, it would be hard to imagine that smoothbeam would fill out the entire pitted area. They(my scars) are the most apparent in bright low-lying light, and bad angles like especially in the evening sun in the rear view mirror.

Unrelated to my last post,

I would like to note that I have been *trying* to takes increased amounts of Vitamin A, E, and especially C. Vitamin C is suppose to help a lot.

I've been drinking V8 Splash that has 100% vitamin A, E, C in a tasty blend. I think this is an important aspect to the treatment! What do you guys think?

Do any experienced smoothbeamers have good vitamin combinations to share with newbies???

I hear that zinc is also good...

Hi,
Also at my consultation they told me to increase my protein intake, zinc and vitamin C during the treatment period to increase with wound healing. This was in addition to the increase in water. HTH!

That's simaler to what I've heard. (vit C, being the most important)

Just curious, for the people who have had results with smoothbeam (MaryTheres, Hello50, Franky -- if your still around!@!@, Niko, etc,) so far, do scars fill in and disapear, or does an outline still remain?

Hello50, you've said that you've experienced 65% improvement, please explain what you consider "improvement."

most scars just fill up not really disappear they disappear in certain angles, but in worst lighting they still show up

but i mean the shallow shallows ones are pretty much gone

but i think with some acidic peels they will all go away

my face looks hardly scared pretty much of course if u go in bad light
any minor imperfections are multiplied by ALOT

Do you think that the scars will be more likely to disapear with the more treatments that you have?

Have you come across a better before picture for us? Please portrey your skin conditions for us one more time..... Like for example how far from mirror could you see your scars, and under what light...

ive mentioned before that they arent that bad, to begin with just a little bit like two scars are a little bit less than medium
so i have realyl shallow scars

but the fact is that it worked for me
it will work for soft scars too
so that isnt a problem
just the amount of imrovment depends ont he person and amount of treatments

its been solved to work
so dont paniac
their always subcision and tca peels.

No, I'm not panicing. My scars arn't that bad as well. All soft as far as I can tell. -- and shallow for the most part.

It's only been 16 days since my first treatment. I was just asking becuase it's really *hard* to imagine what changes.

Basicly for me my face just looks fuller and a little smoother. Kind of like someone is pushing the scars outward from under your skin. That is the only way I can explain it.
I don't think the SB has done anything to reduce the oilyness of my skin sad.gif baaaaaaa

fromchicago!

hey, I am getting treatments from Dr. Del Campo as well! I love the man, and I love his fantastic little machine!

I am doing spot treatment with him, so he's giving me a reduced fare just to do some of my trouble spots (cheek, temples, nose).

I have done 3 treatments and can say without a doubt that I have seen much improvement. I wouldn't know what percentage to qualify it in, but let's just say 70% or so.

PM me, we should talk.

That sounds excellent!! 70% in 3 treatments!!!

So, how much does he charge you for "spot treatments?"

How severe were your scars???

Not very severe.

I would say that I have large pore scars and some maybe considered small boxcars, and possibly very mild rolling. They all feel soft, yet I can't actually "feel" any [indents or such] with my fingers.

I can see them from about one meter in on any given miror.

nice, i am considering smoothbeam myself. but i'm in a little extreme case. when i have my face under sunlight i can see countless little scars. do u think any physcian would bother to zap each undented scar for me? i'm talking 30 or so per cheek!!!

i've also got a few big and deep ones. do u think it will work for large ones?

and will there be hyperpigmentation problems afterwards? i go out in the sun alot and have quite a few sun spots.

I don't think that they would zap each one, but just zap the areas (around 5 mm), and then callogen will push the scars outward.

I wish I could tell you more, but I'm only on day 17 of my treatment, and looking forward to the second session.

Today, when I looked into the rear view mirror of the car, I was quite pleased with my skin's appeareance -- yet it was only a cloudy day.

fromChicago,
Are you really glad you did smoothbeam? I guess I am having pre-treatment night jitters. Do you really feel like it is helping? [-o< My scarring is mild, most people would not even notice :-$ , but I notice and that is the problem. I am just so ready for something to show some real results ](*,) . Thanks for hearing my rant. :-({|= ..lol.

Like I said, It's only been a total of 17 days since my FIRST treatment! So far I have maybe only seen slight improvement, mostly with the way my skin feels, -- nice and smooth. read the incouraging posts from Franky, Chitown, and Hello50!!! it was Franky's post that got me to the derm's office.

I would't get too anxious because the treatment is actually pretty mild.

u know what sucks? i have rosacea, so i don't know if i can do any laser surgery!!!

and why are ppl even bothered doing laser when u guys have "unnoticable scars"? it makes me feel like a freak when it seems like a rat had supper from my face.

man, i'm seeing a derm tm and is she tells me tm that i can't do smoothbeam, i'll probably severely depressed. i have gone through so many thoughts on suicide. only thing keeping me alive is one word: HOPE. i'm to the point where i'd probably don't care if it works or not, just the idea that there is a possibility of making my scars look better makes me look forward to tommorrow. yes, i am one sad lad.
