This is really pissing me off. First (about like 5 months ago) I thought it was only apples, or cherries, but now it is almost every fruit. Every single time I eat it (eg. 1 apple, half cup of cherries, some chunks of cantelope, grapes, strawberries, and blue berries) my forehead is a mess with under the skin pustules by THAT night. If I completely eliminate all fruit, it completely disappears (i've been weeks to a month without by doing this. But it just seems so unhealthy in the long term, so i'll have a friggen piece of fruit and it happens again and again. At first I thought it was candida, but I can eat all the white rice and pasta in the world and it won't have any effect whatsoever. Normal sugar doesn't have a huge effect either (maybe a few spots here or there, but nothing like the deep stuf on the forehead).

The only fruit that doesn't make it go crazy is pineapple fwiw.

I mean, this happens every time. WTF is wrong with me? It would be one thing if it was just overindulging, but I mean one medium sized apple will do it, same with a handful of cherries.

I was thinking about it being fructose intolerance, but it seems like one of the main symptoms is constant diarrhea and stuff which I never have (usually the opposite, but some insoluble fiber helps that out alot).

Edit: if it helps, it's almost always directly on the forehead area above the eyebrows (so from the eyebrows all the way to the top of my head)

Any help would be appreciated. I always seem to think I find the culprit (food allergy), get clear for a week or two, but then it just comes back again and again. It's never just one, they always seem to come in clusters or 3 or 4 and it's ONLY my forehead and temples. Sometimes a spot on forehead will feel a little itchy, then I give it a little scratch, and then the whole area turns real red for a couple hours and many time the cyst like things will come after that. They feel really dry as well and some are only red lumps, others gradually get some puss, but I just don't know what to do. I've ruled out it being shampoo as i've tried different ones (including Nizoral) and even just did 1/2 water with 1/2 ACV for awhile (since my hair is so short).

But is this typical cystic, or does it look like some kind of folliculitis type thing by any chance? Any suggestions would be appreciated...

Those painful cysts that feel all dry and take weeks to calm down (only on my forehead personally) ?

For me (and probably only me, lol), Apples and even sometimes blueberries. I've tested it for about 4 months now and it's true. I've gone a month without a single cyst on my forehead by avoiding those two things and whenever I eat a big apple or two in a day, the cyst forms within 24 hours. Low and behold, when my forehead was at it's all time worst over the winter, I was eating an apple for breakfast and usually for a snack when I came home. It's not the sugar either, as i've actually splurged abit lately and eaten candy with no cysts resulting. The funny thing is that other fruits are fine with me, like Pineapples, Watermelon, Melons, Bananas, and even the dreaded orange juice. It's just those two things (though I haven't tested it with other berries..and I nreally don't plan to), and it's crazy. At least I found out though and can just work on getting rid of the normal moderate acne. It's nice not having that big red lump pulsating every second when in public.

I would just like to say though that i'm sure that this is really really rare for me I would guess, so if you find you are fine eating things like apples and blueberries, please don't stop. It's probably some weird allergy or something (I really don't know what though).

Here was some pics from winter when I was eating apples daily (not the best quality, but let me say that these things were like small-medium sized lumps that would feel really dry and just red and then after a week or two finally turn into a white head)

I have a problem with sebum production but I find that if I have animal fats as my main source of fats I can keep my face normal. But if I have tablespoon of EVOO (or any other oil including coconut), about 3 or 4 hours later I can feel a blatantly obvious difference on my skin in terms of oil. I've found that I can clear up nicely when my oil production is low, but ingesting healthy fats lik EVOO makes me more prone to clogged pores and whatnot which sucks since it's supposed to be so healthy and good for acne. Can anyone tell me why I get like this? Is it leaky gut or something (though I tried the spit in the glass test and it seemed like I tested alright)?

I also heard something about vitamin E getting excreted through the Sebum glands, maybe that has something to do with it (also could be why nuts break some people out). I know it's weird since Vitamin E is good for skin supposedly, but maybe that's only for drier skin types?

Thoughts?

It has like 13,000 of IU in Beta carotene. Would this be too much vitamin A to consume every day?

Diet is a major factor in my acne aswell :) Nice to see managing one's diet works for other people too!

Happy for you. I found out my triggers were chocolate, caffiene, peanut butter and oranges. It really proves you have to listen to your body!
