I have posted before about my use of evolence breeze for filling acne scars. Nobody responded though. Did anyone apart from me use it for filling? If not, that is a shame cos I think it was probably the best option for acne scars. Well it has been discontinued now. I couldn't believe it.
Johnson & Johnson have given no reason for the discontinuation but have cited that it is not do with any advserse reactions/side effects. And that the product is very safe. My only hope is that the technology is bought up by somebody eles. Evolence, in my opinion, beats the hyaluronic acid fillers (restylane, juvederm etc) across the board. - it is cross linked with ribose, you aren't injected any dangerous chemicals into your body - there has not been one documented allergic reaction. Plenty have come to light with the hyaluronic acid fillers - it doesn't migrate - it has lasted so far 12 months with me. - it is an actual structural filler (collagen), unlike the hyaluronic acid ones that are water plumpers. It really is frustrating that products like restylane continue when Evolence is discontinued. Grrrr.

I was wondering if anybody has discovered similar to myself. This is that exercise causes a significant improvement to how your face looks. Anyone? I have discovered this purely by chance. My theory is that the improved bloodflow to the skin is the reason.
Now I know some people will be reaching for the reply button about now, to say that the only way their scars are going to look any better is by getting their severe scars levelled to the surface and exercise isn't going to do jack. Well, I have been diagnosed with severe scarring and I know my skin looks a lot better since exercising. People really are continually telling me this as well. I don't need people to tell me, I can see it for myself. I was surprised that it has had such an effect. I do 30-40 minutes jogging on uphill countryside where I live, every other day. The uphill part is so that I definitely work up a sweat. I have been doing this for months now and definitely feel that the effort is worth the reward. If anybody else would like to post their experiences of exercise improving their skin (or not) and theories that would be great!

Hi
I was wondering if anybody here uses a dermaroller just for enhanced absorption of creams/serums? So you are looking at a short needle length of say 0.13 mm or 0.15 mm. I want to buy one but am wondering if there is any benefit of buying more expensive compared to dirt cheap on ebay. dirt cheap http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Dermaroller-Hair-Los...id=p3286.c0.m14 expensive http://www.consultingroomshop.com/Special_...ller-(Model-C8) or http://www.outlineskincare.co.uk/dermaroll...-kit-p-516.html or http://www.ultramodshop.com/products/Dr-Ro...3%252dLine.html actually, this one at £18 doesn't seem too bad value for money http://www.ultramodshop.com/products/ZGTS-Disposable.html So, is there a reason to avoid cheap ones like on ebay when it is just for topical absorption? Any advice appreciated. Thanks

When I saw this headline at the BBC I knew what was coming up and I was unfortuantely right.
'Very ugly' new Madeleine suspect Whenever I hear somebody being described in the news as 'ugly' it is nearly always their skin they are referring to. And nearly always, always cratered skin, in other words acne scarring. The news report reads "She said she saw the man, with pitted skin and a large nose" Thanks a lot BBC. Well, if hes got pitted skin then he must be sinister and evil and a child abductor. Well thats started my day feeling crap. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8036937.stm

I just wanted to find out if anybody knows or has experience in how long to wait between trying different temporary fillers?
I had Evolence Breeze for deep fibrous rolling acne scars late October. The results were fantastic, it fills beautifully and the fill hasn't gone down at all yet. The disappointment is that my skin is still all red from where it was injected!! My patience is wearing thin and I am thinking that I may try Restylane Vital next time. Considering that I have read online plastic surgeons saying they often use two different temporary fillers, for the perfect finish I am wondering if it is Ok to have two different fillers in at the same time? Or does common sense dictate that you should wait say 6 months after the visible effect of the present filler wears off before trying the next? thanks. |
