Hydroquinone has been banned in some countries in Europe and Asia. It may be banned in the states soon too. It has been linked to leukemia and other awful things.
I have been using Obagi products with Retin-A micro and it's done wonders for me. But after reading about all the dangers of hydroquinone, I don't want to use it anymore.
I've been looking into this other product called Meladerm, looks promising.
http://www.civantskincare.com/meladerm.htm...CFRZAgQodTTpG0QAnyone have any experience with this product? And if so, do you know if it can be used in conjunction with retin a?

I recently switched from Cetaphils cleansing softsoap to the Purpose cleansing bar.
Purpose *felt* better off the bat and the results are still happening.
When I baught the bar I saw the redness reducing moisturizer, which sounds appealing due to some red marks and red blotchy areas on my face.
Has anyone tried this product? It isn't in the product ratings section on this site and I haven't heard about it (even in a negative format).
Anyone?

I swear, if I could just make my moustache area red like the rest of my face, I would be totally happy.
Is there any way that I can make it at least even w/ the rest of my face?

We should probably start using the new section that we asked for...
My question is, whats has anyone found to be effective in covering up facial redness? (such a rosacea or general redness) Are there any products that can actually alleviate the redness rather than just mask it?
I recently tried the Eucerin Redness Relief pack, which was needless to say fairly disappointing. Of the pack the Cleanser and Night Creme seemed the best, or at least not the worst. The other two pieces actually left your skin green and idiotic looking.

Hello all,
i too suffer from a redness on one side of my face and on my nose. I have tried lots of topical medications and nothing seams to work. Recently I have start ed taking 100mg of zinc 50 in the the AM and 50 in the PM. Also 100mg of B6 50 in the am and 50 in the PM. I'm also using retin-A micro gel from the derm once a day, just at night. We will have to see how this is going to work becuase the derm had given me a pill to take which not only did not make my redness go away but actually gave me tons of little pimples under the skin so my skin looks a bumpy now. I talked with another Derm who recommended Pulsed dye laser treatment. i was wondering if any one has tried this or has know people who have tried it. i will keep you up to day with how the new regiment is going and any info on the pulsed dye treatment would be great. Thanks a bunch and good luck to all.

ok so i know something that im using or doing is giving my face a bright pink complexion and its really bothering me. im on mino, differin and also use BP cream. ive been using mino and differin for about a yr and 9 months but only introduced BP the last 5 months. i thought it may be something to do with the bp and the weather. i used bp all throughout winter with no problems (red face every now and then i suppose) but ive never used bp in summer and last summer when it was just differin i never had this problem. maybe its just my skin is overly irritated because its red no matter what cream im using as ive always got something on my face. but i dont know because ive been doin this regimen for a while now and only recently had this problem.
anyway any suggestions

I just wanted to congratulate whoever had this brilliant idea of adding a Rosacea Forum. It will bring hundreds of hundreds of new members. Even though Rosacea and acne may overlap in some cases, It's a completely different Chapter and I'm glad to see it as such.

I'm so happy to see a rosacea forum here. I'm hoping some people could provide some advice as to what's helped them combat rosacea. I went to the derm awhile ago and he gave me Plexion cleansing clothes, Differin, and Solodyn(antibiotic). I haven't used Solodyn for awhile because it's super expensive and I use Differin really sparingly( I don't get much acne anymore thankfully ). I've seen a few supplements recommended from
this forum, and I'm taking grape seed extract/pycnogenol and ester-C right now. I'm also using red/blue light therapy w/ a 70 LED acnelamp. I also life weights sometimes.. but I haven't lately. I'm always worried lifting will aggravate my rosacea and my face always gets pretty red. Anyways, that's brief background on what I've been doing for awhile. Does anyone have any recommendations or suggestions. I would reaaally really appreciate it. Thanks.

Azelex was givin to me by my dermatologist. i have acne mostly on my cheeks and forhead. Along with that acne i have redness, mostly on the cheeks. My dermatologist said it may also improve my redness. The Azelex has shown improvements in my acne and it has improved the redness.

I've been on Accutane since August. I'm not quite sure what it is, but let's say my face flushes a little bit. On my left cheek under my eye I've noticed that around that problem area the skin stays white even If I am flushed around that area. Like in between the spots I had the skin would be lighter than the rest. And I can tell a little in the lights in my bathroom, so outside lighting and school lighting must let it really stand out. It's strange.
Does anyone know what this is?
