I know there are alot of discussions on this board and primarily on this sub section about red marks but I just wanted to vent.. I HATE THEM.. I have a sh** load of them on my face and it looks horrible.. I have been using BS and ACV and its getting somewhat better.. but I just want this to go away.. I have been avoiding BP.. just using TTO and washing my face with NUTRO Acne wash ... is there anything else I can do??? I don;t even try to pop my zits anymore.. I just leave them alone and they turn brown and just sit there with a little bump.. I can't do anything right.. no pop equals bad.. pop equals bad.. FUC*!!!!!!!!!!!

frank, i did a search on acne.org for "candida+hair+loss" and one of your past posts came up:
http://www.acne.org/messageboard/forums.html...wtopic=5955. I am suffering from candida as a result of long-term anti-biotics usage (17 months straight and on and off before that). I have also in the last 5 months experienced much thinning of my hair. It has become very limp and weak. Did you have candida and did you lose hair while the candida persisted? Please, a reply is VERY much appreciated.

Does anyone know if there are any non-prescription products out there that contain hydroquinone for fading marks? I know that 4% is the prescription strength, but do any products out there have less than that?
Thanks for your help!

When I was in high school i never drank or smoked, and only appeared to have bad acne on my back (I think that it was sports induced acne). When I entered college and began drinking alcohol I began to notice that some acne began to appear on my face, however I did not do anything about it, because it was only a spot here and there from time to time. This past year however both my cheeks are covered with clusters of acne, I take it because I have been going out more since I turned 21 and also from stress of graduation and possibly even hormones....but all in all I truly believe that the main culprit is the drinking. Is there anyone else out there who this has recently happened to? Let me know.....

Neutrogena Healthy Skin Lotion w/ Alpha Hydroxy Acid-
I read somewhere that it may help with red marks left after acne. I might try this or Porcelana out since they are pretty cheap and I've heard good things from them both. Let me know if you have used this before and what your results were.

My redmarks are not so much red marks, as entire red areas. I just got off Accutane a few weeks ago, and while the complet redness has subsided, I still have large, splotchy red areas, wherever I had a pimple when i started Accutnae. These red areas are at the corners of my mouth, on the nose, and a little bit around the nose. I'm pretty sure it's not roseaca, either. Has anyone experienced this? Is it normal? Most of all: WILL IT FADE?

Hey guys,
Well here's the latest- I finished roaccutane a week ago on monday and my lips are much less dry and so is my skin. However, I still have some red marks on my cheeks and jaw line. So, what to do! Well I ordered some Estee Lauder White light Ex from Strawberrynet.com, I got the face wash and the night cream..........and I have to say that it seems to be seems to be working. It has licorice in it, which is a skin whitener, melanese which is also a skin whitener and citrus extracts which exfoliate the skin.
I also got some 15% glycolic acid night cream which is also helping loads, however I only use this every other night cause I don't want to stress my skin out too much!
Anyways I hope this helps you guys....let me know if you have any questions!
Rach

so im going on the 7th to get vbeam done for stretch marks, but i figured i might as well try it on my face for redmarks, cos other than the PIH, im pretty damn clear.
the problem is im going to an important event on the night of the 7th, and theres gonna be this girl there who always takes pictures everytime she goes out with friends. so i was wondering if the vbeam would leave me ultra red, and for how long if it does? any replies as soon as possible, would be one less thing for me to worry about, thanks

Well I am 22 years old and I have had the same red marks on my right cheek for the past 4 and a half years. I have been using retin-a micro since I was about 16 and clindamycin phosphate during the day. My acne has been under control for the past 5 years but these red marks just love being on my face. I am ready to put the hammer down now and do whatever I have to do to clear these marks. I think they would of cleared if I was using sunscreen daily. They say it should take from 6 - 12 months and sometimes 18 months to clear. Well 4 and a half years is 54 months so I think they should of healed on their own by now. I think the most important thing to do is wear sunscreen daily. Find a sunscreen that won't break you out. Usually the spf15's are good cause they aren't as heavy. I am just posting this to suggest this to anybody else here struggling with the same problem. I am going to try it starting today. If I have to wait 18 more months then so be it. If in fact I do see some changes I will be the first to post and let you know because if I can clear these red marks then so can the rest of you and I want to share this with all of you. Let's help eachother out and beat this.
-Dave

how come when I pop a white head, I get a ring of dark red around the white head area. Does this mean it's not ready to be poped, my skin is just sensative, or am I doing something wrong? Also, anyone know of anything that will make this red mark go down quickly (not makeup)?

Is using Baking soda every night too exfoliating on the skin. I kno delna does it every night and it has worked well for her but for those with active acne, would it break them out because of the irritation? I've used it 3 nights in a row and ill keep posting to say if i break out later.

My stubborn red marks are fading..
I bought porcelana night fade cream for less than $10 at rite aid.
It has 2% hydroquinone in it.
I have not had any bad side effects,
no dryness, redness, or breaking out.
My skin is super sensitive and this stuff is great.
It's been a couple weeks and many marks have faded.
I saw improvement after only a few days.
I have tried DDF fade gel, natural products, masks, and lactic peels.
Porcelana has topped all of these things!!

Hey, here is the regimen i've been using for probably two months
Morning:
-Johnson and Johnson Purpose Wash
-Baking Soda
-ACV
-BP
-Eucerin Skin Renewal SPF15 Moisturizer
Evening:
-Johnson and Johnson Purpose Wash
-Egg White and Lemon Mask
-BP
-Dove Sensitive Essentials Night Cream.
Ok, I think my red marks have faded a little bit, but nothing drastic like some people say. I feel its time for me to use a product like Porcelena or something that has hydroquinone (sp?) in it. I'm a tanner individual as you can see in my pics so I don't feel this regimen is as effective for me.
My question is, should I continue to use the B.S., ACV, and Egg White Lemon method as well as adding a product that contains hydropquinone (sp?) in it? Where in my regimen would I fit this. I'm sick an tired of these brown spots that are so stubborn. Thanks foryour help,
~Poi

hey,
as the title says, my face looks stained. Like seriously something is MESSED up with my skin. I don't have red marks, what i have is worse. Instead of spotty areas of red marks, my WHOLE entire face is staind a darker red/brown. It looks absolutely disgusting. It's weird because even areas where i didn't develop a zit, it is now staind redish/brown. THe only remnants of my normal looking skin is just beneath my eyes.
So i'm not sure what to do anymore. Peels?? emu oil?? salycylic acid??

Many people say how great ACV is for red marks. I was searching in my cabinet the other day and actually found some. Here's the catch- its about 1.5 yrs expired and is "reduced to 5% acidity." I put it on my face with a cotton ball that night, and it didn't really sting, but turned my face RED. I mean fire-engine red, no joke. Should I continue to use it or am I not using the right kind?

Hi all, I'm kinda new here and this site is very great. The only thing is that it has too much information. I'm kinda overwhelmed right now and it's hard to find what I really want >_< All the questions in this post could probably be answered after extensive use of the search button or reading or something but I think I'll save a lot of time by just asking here.
Anyway, I've had pretty bad acne for like 2-3 years and now I think it really has all gone away. I get a pimple here and there but nothing too bad I don't think. The only thing though is that my face is all still red from acne. I use some kind of make up to cover it up and it kinda works but I don't think it actually is healing anything. I've only been using it for a couple of days so far and it covers pretty well but I'm a bit anxious about it because I'm scared it could make acne come back

I know I read some topics about you people suggesting and giving feedback over products that heal these red marks but there are a lot of it and it's kinda hard to tell which is really good. My question was could anybody recommand me a good product that I would be able to use like before going to bed or something and still be able to wear that "makeup" to cover it all up during the day or something?
I have another question also: I had thought of a way to get rid of these red marks but I dunno if it would work or if it's risky so I'll just post it here: I was planning on getting a tan during the summer to darken my skin in hope that it does evenly and that the red marks would turn brown or something and not come back to red after the summer or something.. Would this work?
Oh and btw, english isn't my first language so sorry for the gramatical errors if there are any.

I got SB for acne, not necesisarly red makrs, but it is used to treat some scaring.
I went through about 200 pulses my first time, I didn't know what power setting.
My face was red for about a day, and as the dermatologist told me, my hyperpigmented spots may look worse for a while but they'll get better. They did.
I think it actually helped a little bit. I saw it as an added bennifet since I Wasnt exactly getting SB for red marks. My second treatemnet is with both SB and V-beam. V beam is said to work well on red marks, thats in less than a month.
So just to let everyone know, if you're doing smoothbeam purely for getting rid if red marks, dont. It is a nice little added thing though if you want to slow down your acne.
