Whenever I apply any kind of topical solution to the skin on my face, my eyes tear horribly all day, it takes up to atleast 2 - 3 days for the tearing to go away completely, even tho I stopped applying the product(s) all together. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else? is there a known solution? I am very careful when it comes to applying these products near my eyes.

Hey all,
I've been looking into purchasing the PanOxyl 10% Bar to add to my current regime ( which as of now only involves applying BP morning and night with a little bit of moisturizer ). Basically I'm having trouble creating my own effective regime. I know that everyones skin is different... I'm just looking for a basic structure which I can add products to... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hello all,
I've got a question regarding the time in between treatments. I've recently been on a steady course of treatments (treatment #1 - subcision only / 6 weeks later, treatment #2 subcision + V-BEAM. I am very satisfied with the results, I feel subcision works very well. My question is, I am about to see the doctor tomorrow to have a Fraxel II treatment done, it is approx. 5 weeks since my last treatment, is 5 - 6 weeks enough time to space out this amount of work?.... I feel my face is beginning to look very much improved and want to stay the course so to speak. I'm afraid that the fraxel treatment may regress things a bit, I was also thinking of having a third subcision treatment done, but im not sure if that will be neccessary, as the two previous seem to have done as much as possbile. Do Fraxel and Subcision work well together? Regards, Pete

Hey all,
I just had my first subcision treatment done yesterday. I wanted to wait a day to post my results as the doctor advised me that they may be so residual swelling / brusing following the procedure. So here's the scoop, The loaded me up with the numbing cream (such a pain, and in my honest opinion, it really doesnt do anything for you) and advised me to take two tylenol (which they never gave me). Once I was prepped and ready to go, the doctor started the treatment, he stuck the needle in throught my pores and began to move up and down underneath the scars, which feels wierd at first, but once he/she has done it a few times you will get used to it. The doctor actually hit areas on my skin that were not pre-numbed with the numbing cream, but it felt virtually the same (I have a very high threshold for pain, so you may have a different result depending). Following the procedure I cleaned up my face, etc.. which was very swollen and red. The doctor told me I did very well, and I should recieve good results from the treatment. I had the doctor focus on my two temples and my cheeks, where the scarring is the worst. After I had cleaned myself up, I was handed a mirror to check the results. I have to say that I am very pleased (atleast right now) with my skin following this procedure. My left temple / top of my left cheek which had noticeable scarring (depressed, not very deep) has dissappeared, and my temple was basically clear. The right side of my face was also noticeably better, though there are a few scars left on my cheek that are still there. All in all I am very happy with this first attempt, and I am planning on having another subcision treatment done, possibly with the V-Beam laser (my doctor performs the two procedures routinely, and says the two combined work wonders..... we'll see). The doctor also tried to sell me on the Fraxel II laser, as I saw him for the Fraxel I laser originally. I want to see how this treatment affects my skin before I decide to try out another laser. I will try to post some pics in my gallery when I get a chance. Pete

Hey all,
I've been thinking about having subcision performed on various parts of my face (I have acne scars that disappear when you stretch them, unsure what the technical name for them are). I have had two fraxel treatments, and the juvederm filler injected into my skin, and am fairly un-happy with both (tho the fraxel did produce a little change). I just wanted to get some feedback on the treatment (cost, length of procedue, # of procedures, after effects, etc..) Also, does anyone know of a good doctor in the New York Metro area?.... someone that has done good work before, or has a good reputation?... I would be most grateful.... Cheers, Pete |
