Red Marks...

Im 3 months in on accutane and now all thats left are redmarks.

Ive read mixed answers about whether they will go away or not.

On my first dose they seemed too, so im expecting the same even though this time around there was quite a bit more acne!

One week stopping?

I ran out of accutane pills and its been a week since ive taken them.

Im going to get new ones tonight (because my bloodwork was fine) and start taking them again.

Since ive taken a break from them will i have another one month flare up?

I just dont know the answer to this.

Im getting so frustrated with everything involving my face. Normally im outgoing, happy, cheerful etc...lately that is slowly going away.

I want nothing more then a clear face for college. Lately my face has gone to hell because of the first month breakout on Accutane. I know it will get better so my spirits are a little high. Lately though everyday i wake up and feel depressed about everything. Maybe its the accutane, maybe its just me....who knows. Depression sucks.

It all adds up, after getting amazingly perfect skin something had to go wrong. After my first dose on accutane my skin was perfect, i couldnt ask for more! I was so happy during that time until i found out i had Seborrheic Dermatitis. That shit kept me from going to my senior prom when i had a beautiful date, awesome group of friends etc, i turned a fight into a big deal and said i didnt want to go which was secretly because of the redness.

Now im back on a second round of accutane because of a cream called desonide that was supposed to help with that. Also reading that seborrheic dermatitis never goes away just adds to the fact that i will be miserable for a long time. Why me? Im a pretty likeable dude, im invited lots of places, but i never really want to go anymore. I used to be that guy at every social event, now i go but i feel out of place. Even though i know nobody cares it still sucks for me.

I would do anything for this to go away, i want nothing more. When is enough, finally enough. Enjoying college is one thing I look forward too, i dont see how that will always be the case with all this.

Reptile Battle Armor.

I dont mind the occasional acne joke, sometimes there actually quite funny. When there creative and makes me smile no harm done right?

Well tonight my brother made a joke about my dry/flaky skin because of accutane.

He said...

"If i punched you in the face it wouldnt even affect you because of all your reptile battle scales."

Reptiles have dry skin and i have dry skin, what a lucky coincidence. I never thought of the flakes looking like scales either.

Gahhhh. His joke made me laugh though! There are some other ones he said that were hilarious i just dont recall them at this time.

Acne sucks...but atleast at the same time some people can joke about it creatively.

Maybe i should have posted this in the "worst name thread" but i just wanted to make my own.

5 more months of accutane. It does suck to have to go the pill when there are some people who dont take care of there skin at all and its flawless. Atleast we have accutane nowadays, people didnt have it years ago.

Off Topic Area.

I was thinking about this and figured id post it here. Im a member of a few forums and generally my favorite area to post in is the Off Topic area. This is one of the few forums without an area for that (which really surprises me)

Especially for a site like this one i think it could be benificial. With many people feeling down about there acne, redness etc...a place to talk about other things would be awesome. I have been down many times and gone in an off topic lounge and found myself laughing at some rediculous post. This is obviously a more serious site compared to the others but it still couldnt hurt. There really are no negatives about it.

One forum i belong too where i have over 4000 posts, 3000 are in the off topic area. Thats the only reason i still post there. I have a lot of fun in there. Another forum where im a mod on had a huge number request this forum and when they got one it became the most active area on the whole forum.

Just my 2 cents and who knows, yall might even like the idea. Im willing to bet this has been posted before and im sorry if its a repost. I havent seen an off topic area either, if im missing something feel free to show me! We have the psychological effects forum, how about make a forum where not only can you post random things, but awesome topics aswell.

Also it could be a place to bond with others on this forum, create better friendships, joke around and even get to know people more personally. The forum is off topic and can have posts about anything and everything. A new movie, sports, your pets etc...I would love to see it. Anyone else?
