Am I going to far by restricting my diet to the following?

Rice
Beans
Fish
Meat
Eggs
Fruits
Vegetables

I mainly want to avoid dairy and gluten/grains but it feels like I can't eat anything at college because everything needs to be wrapped in bread or covered in cheese.

Right now I have Tuna, Apples, Chili, and Rice in my dorm that I can make. I also have options at the cafeteria but like I said it is hard to find foods that fit in that list. Any suggestions?

Lets make a list of healthy foods for those who are not eating dairy or gluten.

Off the top of my head:

Beans
Potatoes
Rice
Meat
Fish
Vegetables
Fruit

I understand taking refined carbs out of your diet, or removing glutinous carbs, but why do people insist on removing all carbs? Even fruit?

For those of you who are using Retin-A long term, doesn't it suck constantly protecting yourself from the sun? Do you ever turn red at times?

Has anyone read this book?

I think it has some good points that everyone here should take to heart.

I would explain them myself but Michael Pollan the author does a much better job:

I am going to apply these principles (no supplements, eating whole food and not worrying about anything else, making eating enjoyable, not eating based on scientific studies) with trying to make my life less stressful and more enjoyable as AutonomousOne seems to be advocating.
