Last night I did a TCA CROSS treatment on myself. In the process of doing it I narrowly averted total disaster....

I put a magnifying suction mirror on my bathroom mirror. I was holding the open bottle of TCA in one hand and a toothpick in the other hand. During this time, the suction mirror started to fall and by instinct I went to catch it from falling. However, in so doing I flung the open TCA bottle toward the mirror and the solution spilled all over the mirror, my bathroom counter, the sink, and some stuff that was on the counter. I also managed to get it on my arms (small spattering). I was very lucky to have been wearing gloves or the solution would have burned my hands. I was also very lucky that I didn't get it all over my entire face & body. Luckily it didn't get into my eyes either. In the future I will not hold the bottle of TCA, I will keep it on the counter. I will wear my glasses from now on as well (those of you who do not wear glasses should wear goggles). I feel like an idiot but I felt I should share my near disaster so that people are aware that accidents can happen despite the best planning & intentions. If things had been slightly different I could have wound up in the emergency room last night. Above all TCA is an ACID and can be very dangerous.

It's not pretty and this is by no means a complete list, but it is a good start for those of you just starting to research treatments for acne scarring.

http://www.tamaramadden.com/Acne_Scar_Websites.htm

If you have any recommendations on other sites that you feel should be included, feel free to list them in this thread, and I will consider adding it to the list.

The reason why I am asking is because I have been reading complaints from people who suffer from pitted acne scarring that the information is not relevant.
I think it would be helpful to separate the two issues so that people can focus on what they are having problems with rather than wading through lots of posts that aren't relevant.
Please answer the poll and feel free to share your opinion on the subject.

I've been wanting to do this for a while....

Often times I read that people are impressed by how before and after photos look. I have taken the time to photograph myself in 8 different lighting conditions and post them on a website. Note that this was done on the same day, at the same angle but that each was taken with slightly different lighting. I did this in the hopes of educating people to realize that even though before and after photos may look impressive, looks may be deceiving. If before and after photos are to be properly judged then the lighting must be as consistent as possible. Lighting won't ever be perfect, but the more consistent it is, the more accurately you can judge before and after photos.

Also, this will help explain how sometimes you look in the mirror and see yourself differently -- it's very dependent on lighting.

Update 2/10:
I got so sick of my bathroom smelling of vinegar that I am no longer using Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar diluted with water as a toner. I had used diluted vinegar since the thread started, but didn't notice much improvement.

Update 1/30: I started breaking out with whiteheads, so I have eliminated the Mario Badescu cleanser from my regimen. Nothing else new was added, so it's my assumption that is what caused it.
