Bad moisturizer?

As much as I looooove Dan and his products, I can't say i'm entirely satisfied with the moisturizer. I got it about two weeks ago and ever since then i've been breaking out all over my face with tiny pimples (thanks to the regimen, i was 100% clear) Nothing else in my skin care routine has changed, no new makeup or cleansers... what's up with that?

Anyone else find that Dan's moisturizer is making them breakout?

It also smells like cinnamon. Weird.

History.

Hey everybody! A little history about me... I'm a 20 yr old female and I've been suffering from acne for about 6 years. In highschool I went to a dermatologist and was put on every RX on the market (antibiotics, retin-a, differin, klaron, etc) and nothing ever fully worked. When I started college at 18 (two years ago August 2004) I began my 5 month Accutane therapy. I also kept a journal on acne.org here and one with pics here.

As you can see by the pictures my skin cleared up to flawless - and stayed that way for about a month after treatment was over. My acne came back slowly but surely - it was mild up until the summer of 2006, and that is when it hit hard. Twice as bad as it back before the accutane! I couldn't get in to see a derm anymore because of insurance issues, so thus began my self-medicated search for a cure. I went on benzacylin (i had one RX refill leftover from winter) around August, and then switched over to Murad Acne Complex regimen a little after thanksgiving. It hasn't been helping much, so i've decided to switch to Dan's regimen finally! I have moderate acne - one might consider it mild, but i'm very sensitive to red-mark scars, giving the appearance that my acne is worse than it really is.

I bought Dan's BP gel a few months back but didn't use it as part of the CSR, just at night. Anyway, i'm ready to begin the full regimen. I started yesterday morning. Here are the products i'm using;

Cleansers;
Aveeno Ultra-calm or Cetaphil Bar

Treatment; Dan's BP, tazorac on my nose only (for blackheads - no BP on nose either), Murad Hyperpigmentation Gel (usually on days i wash my face 3 times, like after work... and only on my red marks)

Moisturizers;
Aveeno Ultra-calm, Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion, Neutrogena Healthy Skin, or Neutrogena Sensitive Skin

History.

As you can see by the pictures my skin cleared up to flawless - and stayed that way for about a month after treatment was over. My acne gradually came back after a full year of being of the 'tane. Now two years later, it's about 2x worse than before accutane. Right now i'm on Benzaclyn topical in the morning and Clean and Clear Advantage at night.

My skin has cleared up since a few months back (including the summer), but i'm still in search of a steady regimen to stick with. Which brings me tooooo MURAD! I've been a fan of the company for a while now, and their new acne program called 'Murad Acne Complex' has allured me into buying it offline. I'm waiting for the package to arrive, and when it does... day one begins!

After accutane...

It's been about 2 weeks since i've been off accutane. I had mild-moderate acne before i went on it, and a month later I was pimple free. I've been pimple free for 6 months, but since I went off accutane my skin has been really weird.

First off, starting last week my legs, underarms, neck, and chest have become really itchy. Then my face started to become red, blotchy, and itchy throughout the day. Mostly after I wash my face - it's an "allergic" kind of itch too (if that makes any sense). I haven't been doing anything different for months, so i don't know what would cause an allergic reaction, but it sure feels like one.

I woke up this morning with the WORST case of itchy skin. It's so irritated, its not really even a normal itch... it's like bugs are just crawing underneath my face, and it makes it super blotchy and red. UGH - i don't know what to do, and i don't know whats happening! I also got a pimple today that hurts (first time in 6 mos!) on my cheek

AAAAAAAAAARGHK anyone else experience something like this after accutane?

Clinique 3-step regimine?

I'm going on accutane soon, and I've been thinking about what sort of skin care regimine to use once i'm off it. The clinique 3-step skin care line is very alluring to me, because of its department store prestige. I like the fact that it has a toner, because i've heard toning is very good for your skin. I've also been thinking about Proactiv, or perhaps sticking with Cetaphil products...

Any suggestions?
