This is just a small request to have moved posts not show up in their original forum. To me it just seems to add a lot of clutter to the forums, especially with a forum such as this where there are a ton of new threads (mostly without much useful/new content).
I know with other forum software (vBulletin) when moving a thread you can choose to not have the redirect show in the original forum, or to have it show temporarily. I imagine this is an option with IP.Board. What do the mods/admins think? |

We generally leave a link in the forum the thread was originally posted in so that the OP and others who have posted in the thread can find it. I understand that there are a quite a few 'moved thread' links, but it cuts down on the confusion over where people's threads have gone.

I think people like to know where their threads have gone.

I can pretty much guarantee that if we didn't leave links, there would be a crop of new threads entitled "where did my post go?"

I think the best solution is to have thread starters post in the right forums instead of just grabbing the first off the list
