Hi guys,
I'm 22 and had perfectly clear skin during highschool, which i was lucky enough to have. Although I wish that I had it then because getting cystic acne at 20 is not fun!! It ruins your social life! My doc advised Roaccutane when I was 20 but I was worried about the side effects of depression. I was depressed and had panic attack in my adolescent years so I was a bit scared to use it. So I was on diocycline for a while but that was basically useless. I've been on Roaccutane (as it's called in Australia) for about 2 weeks now and MY FACE LOOKS LIKE AN ISLAND OF VOLCANOES READY TO ERUPT. My face is pretty much disgusting right now. It's itchy, my cysts have gotten bigger, dry and it just hurts. Because my face is itchy, sometimes I forget where my volcanic cysts are and accidentally scratch them and then they start bleeding but the pus won't come out and so the cyst would stay on my face forever! And then my face would hurt so much I just want to cover them with an ice pack. I've been using Cetaphil face wash and moisturizer. Big fan of the face wash. Not so much the moisturizer - it's ok on my body but leaves my face really sticky to touch and oily by the end of the day. So any suggestions from anyone who have experienced the same thing with Cetaphil moisturizer? Anywho, I've given up hope. Although it has only been 2 weeks. But not getting my hopes up. :[ |
