Started Saturday 6/6/09... 100MG 2X a day for the first 3 days... Benzaclin 2X a day... Moisturize when dry with acne.org moisturizer.



Sunday- started to feel dizzy and lightheaded... nauseous in the afternoon while at the gym. (had taken 2 mino that day)

Monday I felt dizzy but went to work as normal... (took 2 minocyclin)

Tuesday I felt really bad and called out of work (its pretty flexible anyways)... I made breakfast and was ready to go to work but just soon as i finished the dishes I ended up having to lay down due to the nausea and dizziness...

Today is now Wednesday... Face looks like its getting better... Zits are peeling (had a few huge ones) but now they are hard and still there but flatter... red marks/purple marks will be there when they are gone I am sure. Trying to get into work at a reasonable hour to get stuff done. LOL


My face is a mess and my head is all crazy feeling. UGH!


Hope to be feeling better tomorrow. Trying so hard to do my cardio today and feel balanced again... Not feeling to nauseous as I feel dizzy.... I am feeling more gassy...

*kind of unrelated but funny* My boyfriend filled my scripts and mixed my benzaclin... I watched him carefully mix it and make it nice and neat for me. LOL He is now also watching me carefully that I dont incorporate anymore acne meds into this regimen because I get so impatient.

today things look way smaller on my face... I do have a little chest acne-- small zits all over...

Ummmm... It looks better as far as with makeup on... without, i have purple red marks. LARGE ones. My mom was poking at my face and pointing out i had 10 zits on one area but they are marks (some are old) well... some are zits (4 of them) and the rest are red marks from a few weeks ago... its not cool when your mom is always poking at you and telling you youre face is screwed up but do you think u could have taken me to a derm 10 years ago when it was getting bad? Here it is getting bad again...

Thank goodness im dating a pharmacist... he is helping me get my skin clear on this regimen.

Dryness.... Some peeling. going to gently exfoliate with this wash this morning before and make sure i moisturize... not liking the red and purple marks left behind its better than the damn bumps and lumps right?

Im down to 100MG a day. I better change my sig... not feeling sick... Face is alright... things are going down slowly. No huge changes to report...

Are you sure those tiny zits on your chest weren't an allergic reaction to the mino? I got them too, and it happened after I started taking the mino, I thought maybe I had broken out on my chest but it looked more like an allergic reaction. It went away though after a week, I did mention it to my derm, but she didn't think it was a big deal.

What made you decide to get on antibiotics? I'm trying desperately to get off them, yesterday was my last pill of 50mg. I felt like my acne was starting to come back because I did get 2 new pimples. I am still scared and a little freaked out, but the pimples are small ones for now, i'm just hoping them don't get any bigger.

I don't ever want to take antibiotics again, they helped me but it's only temporary relief.

^ do you know how long before antibiotics stabilize on your system? coz i've been on Doxy for 5 weeks now, though I've seen a lot of improvement in terms of cystic acne, I still get those small inflammed once every week.
