I've been reading about the Master Cleanse (Lemonade Fast) and I'm really wanting to give it a try. The only problem is, I'm currently taking Doxycycline (2 pills per day) and I'm not sure how the fast and the antibiotic will mix. Can I still effectively cleanse my body while taking it? Also, I forgot to eat breakfast this morning and took it on an empty stomach - I threw up less than an hour later. So I'm wondering if this lemonade concoction will be enough to take with it, as I usually take it with food.

Thanks if anyone can help.

Antibiotics are terrible for your intestinal flora, they will wipe out all your good bacteria along with the bad. This in many cases allows the bad bacteria to proliferate. Taking antibiotics for me caused a candida overgrowth which led to recurrent fungal infections, acne, and many other symptoms for me. I would not recommend antibiotics in any case, especially not while fasting. They will make you terribly ill. A much better alternative are probiotics, which will increase your good bacteria cultures to override the bad.

Currently on an anti candida diet and parasite cleanse.

Washing face once daily with a natural cleanser, and using organic apple cider vinegar diluted with water at night.

Supplements: Whole food multivitamin, probiotics, extra virgin coconut oil, omega 3-6-9, liquid oxygen, Perfect Food greens, and Zinc

Oh wow. Well, is it alright if I stop taking the antibiotics when I still have half a bottle of pills to go? Will it cause me to break out? And I'll talk to my doctor about probiotics when I see her next, thanks for the help and info!

Well, I guess if they're working for you just finish them off...but make sure you get some probiotics after!! Your doctor probably won't know much about probiotics, they are the antithesis to a doctor's pharmaceutical knowledge. Then again, who knows. Some doctors are much more understanding if their patients wish to choose a holistic route to cure their illnesses. I stopped seeing my doctor because he would shut me up every time I tried to suggest a natural treatment for myself.
