did topical retinoids make you sunburn?

Summer 08 I was using Retin A Micro and it worked really well.
I only applied it to my nose, because that was where my problems were.
However, even when using SPF 85 I got intensely sunburn!
Did this happen to you?!? I applied so much sunscreen... everyday!

Oh, and those IBs... they SUCK!

clean & clear blackhead clearing scrub LOG

stats:
14 years old, female
oily skin in t-zone
dry cheeks sometimes
sensitive-ish skin
black heads all over nose
occasional pimples on nose
black heads on chin
occasional pimple on chin or forehead
red areas of the face (nose,etc)


DAY 1 - more like night one since i bought it at 8 PM
-take off make-up with neutrogena make up remover sheets
(i only wear pressed powder and eye make-up)
-wash face with the clean and clear blackhead clearing scrub
[left skin feeling soft and smooth, looked like some blackheads even faded]
i scrubbed gently for about 30 seconds.
-a dab of spot treatment benzoyl peroxide 2% on tip of nose where there is a pimple

DAY 2 - morning
wash face again with the C & C blackhead clearing scrub
[left skin soft and smooth again, no dryness. i see a little improvement, nothing major]
that's it. no make-up today because just lounging and bbq'ing.
i will report night, after i wash my face at night.

ANYONE HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS SCRUB?
TELL ME YOUR STORIES PLEASE?
