I have only just started the CSR and will obviously give this alot more time to try and help me.
I was just wondering though does anyone do the CSR and use these light tecniques? If so, does it work well? And what light do you use?
Cheers.

Hey... I went to a laser/ light dermatologist, and was given the choice between Smoothbeam, and the levulon and blue light combo. For a variety of reasons, I decided to do the smoothbeam (I couldnt start the light treatment that day... and I was desperate).
So has anyone used this? I think its a scam, but I am desperate. My acne has gotten worse, much worse, and its been a week. Is there an IB with it? I am also on Retin-A-micro, duac, doxy, and a bunch of herbal/ homeopathic things for good measure! Any thoughts!

Hello.
I've been reading all the information I've fonud in Internet about lasers and IPLs for treatment of acne.
I've conclused Omnilux is the best. I would like to know your opinions.
I've been speaking with medics and I tell you they've said to me.
I've heard IPLs kill the P.acnes but there are many bacteries which cause acne, and IPLs don't kill them. That's the reason which IPLs only run with young people, because in that cases P. acnes is that causes their acne. I'm 38 and a medic saw my face with a blue light and he said I hadn't P. acnes.
Then, I've contacted with a medical center and they say me Omnilux is a laser with LEDs, not an IPL, and it runs with a substance (ALA or similar) that improves the results. They say Omnilux kill not only P.acnes but another bacteries also. Have you listened about it? Is that true? Anyway, nobody guarantee me my bacteria will die, isn't so?
They have said to me also, it's more effective to do one session with more time of expossure: we attack bacteries more hard. Do you know anything about this?
I wanted to improve the skill of my eyes in the same treatment and medics have said to me there is no problem because it's only light. Anything to comment to this?
If finally we kill bacteries, I would put some product on my face to avoid they grow. Which is the best product for it?
Thanks for your comments.

Hi all,
As I do research with the light treatments, I find myself more and more intrigued. I would like to purchase one, but am very torn between smaller, hand-held (like Lumiport) and large, full-face treatments (like the Clearwave).
ANY testimonies, thoughts, etc. would be appreciated... its hard to find reviews out there!
Thanks so much!
Also, slightly unrelated... if I used the lumiport pen and had multiple blemishes, do you use it for 10 minutes on each?

I'v heard of people using Laser technology for facial redness and rosacea. I found this out by going to a rosacea website and it was one of the treatments for rosacea.
Has anyone had anything like this done? Or know anything about it?
I'm clear from tane (for now). But my facial redness is really making me feel down and out, and I'd like to treat it in some shape or form. But unfortunately there is no cure from rosacea, so I hope I don't actully have it

I have started a Light/Laser treatment I am also taking Vitiman B5 and oral Tetrocycline, the cost is quite expensive, The Dermatologist told me I would require a course of 12 treatments before I am totaly clear of facial acne.
Has any body heard of the Harmony Lovely 11 (2) machine, this machine is suposed to be a Advanced Fluorescent Technology using an intense Pulse Light ( IPL) and does it work.........
Thank you

I had horrible cystic acne. HORRIBLE. hurt like hell to touch my face.
I've gone through 3 of the 4 treatments and I don't have a single cyst. I remember my last one... I wasn't as inflammed and it went quickly. That was over a month ago. I have my final treatment on the 17th. I'll be glad when it's over. But I'm cyst free. I don't have any forming under the skin. Just a few blackheads and tiny pimples taht haven't surfaced. that's about it. now it's time to take action on the hyperpigmentation and rolling scars (so if you know anything let me know!!!)
things to keep in mind:
-redness, peeling
7 to 8 days (for me)
-it's painful with the IPL.
-i had to take codine after the treatment cuz my face was really hot, I had to keep a fan on it until I fell asleep. The next day it doesn't hurt at all. JUST LOOKS AWEFUL.
-DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED AFTER THE FIRST OR SECOND TREATMENT... everyone reacts differently. But me personally... my acne got much worse.
IT HAS TO GET WORSE BEFORE IT GETS BETTER
But it's worth it.
NO CYSTS. ALL GONE.
results are said to last up to 18 months. (hopefully that gives the body enough time to grow out of acne) __levulan was origionally used for cancer patients, like cancer... levulan puts acne into remission. LITERALLY> remission.
the science... sort and sweet. kills the p.bateria that is acne.
after oct. 17 I will wait 6 months and get a routine touch up with levulan. hopefully my acne won't come back. but if it does (because there is no guarentee......... ACNE IS COMPLETELY UNPREDICTABLE) I will go through another 4 treatment round.
4 treatments, 4 weeks apart.
300 bux a go.
but it can be much more expensive.
shop around.
if you know anything about rolling scars and hyperpigmentation. let me know please. i don't have cysts. can't wait to say I have no marks, too!!

So it seems we are exiting the age of topical creams and pills, and moving on to light to solve our skin disorders; but what about those of us who have used medication (especially benzoyl peroxide) to solve our acne, but are now left with alot of red marks? Will light treatments fade red marks 100% in a couple months, and if so, which light? Blue or red?
I'm interested in burning alot of my money in investing into something to get rid of my redmarks, and as it seems lights are where it's at nowadays, so, will lights fade red marks 100% rapidly?
Thanks for the help.

How well do full-face home-use light lamps work for you?
(Please only answer if you have had a lamp for atleast 3 months).

I am going in for a light treatment conultation/ treament later this month, but was also going to start up retin-a again asap, as in today even. Is there something that these two cannot be used in conjuction? I know retin-a changes your skins thickness, so I was wondering if then you couldn't do light treatment (I dont know hwich I will be doing). I am also on duac as well... as doxy.
