I just had some needle facial injections for minor facial veins stuff. Was not concerned, but my new Dr. want's good stuff. Had like 6 IPLS a few years back, (with a laser specialist) and they stayed hidden, and just came back awhile ago. Same ones!
New Dr. noticed some and said and began some needle injections whick did not hurt, cause he likes his patients as perfect as he can get, Bless him! The few injected, well less coverstick..........more even........
If anyone want's more info ask away.........there have been questions on this in many topics here and would like to share. I need to follow up with one laser tx. to get them all. (minor ones).
I have not had this done yet, (laser for this) but next week! 1 appt with a new laser, (not so new) vs 6 IPLS that didn't work. 1/2 hour procedure. And 1 with this different newer one.
Will post results, after. all I can say rght now is the injected ones are gone! I have very minor 1 bruise, lighter than the spider vein, is present.

Hi,
I had v-beam laser done 3 days ago for spider veins on my cheeks. The left cheek is bruised up pretty badly. It has 3 purpuras that look like someone extinguised a cigarette on my face. The right cheek is fine as derm put the setting down but most of the initial redness is still there. I would like to hear experiences from people who have had v-beam treatments whether for acne or facial veins. How long did it take for purpura to go away? Are u happy with the results? Did it leave any kind of a mark as my derm said worse case scenario would be it would leave a white mark. Did anything you used or did make it heal faster? I am so afraid purpura will not disappear and feel sick to my stomach when I look in the mirror.

hi there,
what's the best home use lamp on the market? both in terms of strength and also value for money and peoples experiences?
im wondering if my dermalux lamp is that great. it just has 4 bulbs, 2 red 2 blue for a start. ive seen newer models that have more that that, either 6 or 8 bulbs.
anyway.... i may invest in a new lamp or just new replacement bulbs... depending on what people write here!
i'm in the uk, and i only know of two manufacturers of these lamps. so please post links to other makes as well even if you don't recommend them as such!
many thanks,
tim

Hello folks,
Just thought I would share how I was getting on with the medibeam machine I started using end Dec ish. It is going very well (no spots on face at the moment, shame about some of the previous marks left by spots though!) I am taking oxytetracycline and using Eryacne 4 gel (4%) - standard prescription I believe - This is my first trip to the doc for quite a while for this problem. Why it took me this long to sort something out I don't know! I was also given BP 2.5% though from comments on the website I was cautious and have only used it on my back - thank goodness!
I have suffered on and off for 15 years. The spots I was getting over the last 9 months were really large lumps that never came to a head, but would last a long time and leave a nasty mark (these marks take approx 5-6 months to fade, and still make it look like I have spots even when the spot has gone. I also suffer on my back in the winter months. These spots are smaller and very painful.
I started the tablets etc. at about the same time as using the the medibeam (used on my FACE ONLY). My face is spot free, but my back is still spotty. I also have developed a patch of about 8 spots on my neck (where medibeam was not used).

This is one of my first posts on my path to clearing acne. I haven’t seen many reviews on this forum in regards to this treatment. I’m only posting this because it worked for me. It didn’t make me flawless I must admit but it did do enough that I feel better about myself and that’s all I care about. I made this huge leap when people started too crack jokes about my face. It made me feel bad inside and my confidence dropped. What the people around me didn’t know was that I did everything I could to ridden of this disease and nothing seemed too work long enough before the acne came back. So I went too a beauty clinic. The total treatment cost me $2000 which included
8 blue light sessions
3 red light sessions
5 peels
Cleanser, spot treatment, moisturiser
The pros of this treatment were that I didn’t have too slap on a huge amount of crap on my face and feel all ukly. It was simple and the downtime was great. My advice is stay away from minomycin. Did worst than good for me. After the first session my skin just felt like it wasn’t oily anymore. Unbelievable. I never noticed how bad my skin was until I saw the progress photos the clinic had been keeping track of. I could see bumps all over my skin, blood, scars and marks.
I started with 1 blue and 1 peel per week.. The blue light is alright compared too sitting under the red light for 20 mins. When it came too the peel I felt nothing at all. Not even a tingle. The lady was amazed. I guess this was due too all the crap I had been putting on my face over the years.
Only thing I did daily was cleanse in the morning and apply moisturiser and at night cleanse, spot treat and moisturise. Every 3 days I would do a light scrub too exfoliate. Only exfoliate once you’re off the peel for at least 2 weeks for your skin too recover.
I’m glad I took the risk for $2000. No treatment available on the market will get you flawless skin but I’ve tried everything besides Accutane, and this is defiantly worth it. 4 months was all it took. If you are currently on Accutane it is advisable that you do not start this treatment til your 6 months off it.
I’ve got 2 more sessions at the clinic and once I have the pics I’ll be happy too post em up. The other good thing that came out of this treatment was that it makes your skin look younger.
Some of the things that it didn’t change whilst on the treatment were that my pores remained the same. The dents on my face were still there. The black heads were still there. On the good side of things the red marks dramatically faded away.
I’m on the forth month into the treatment, but I also took around 3 weeks off too go on holidays and guess what i wasnt breaking out like crazy.Id get a zit or 2 but spot treating works. I plan too do a blue light every month so that my oil production is under control. A treatment cost around $100 but I guess it’s worth it because I’m so sick and tired of spending so much time too keep my acne under control with creams and cleansers.
It was a long review but if you read it. Thank you and the best for your skin. I’m not saying it will work for everyone else, but it did for me. I’ve written this based on my experience without been bias. But Im clear today with 1-2 zits but they don’t bother me compared too an army of zits on my face. Now just too get rid of the over size pores and some brown marks.

Hello--this is my first time ever posting here.
I completed my last blue light and levulan treatment last month. My skin is virtually acne-free now. I have a few small whiteheads, but nothing like the consistent hormonal acne I had before.
Well, of course I'm happy about clear skin, but I have noticed I have undereye wrinkles that were not there before. My left eye is very deep. My derm said that they were probably there before and I am just now noticing, but they weren't. Even a friend asked me about them the other day.
Wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this? Is it temporary? I know that there was probably a lot of inflammation due to the laser and light and my skin might be a bit dehydrated, but I'm nervous.
Got rid of the acne, but now I have premature wrinkles!
Thank you for reading!

There is a huge somewhat new technology emerging and they are the LED CHIPS not LED's but LED CHip technology.
I first saw them on Ebay for Car Taillights and TUrnsignals from V-Leds.com.
THen on the Sci/Art Web site they are phasing out the Dichromatics with the new LED chip techology. THey are now selling those LED chip lamps blue and red.
Out of curriousity I decided to buy the Red for facial Rejuvination.
Has anyone else experienced this new LAmp technology yet?
It produces true Red wavelenghts and theoretically they shooudl do what Plain LED and Flourescent red and blue lamps do correct?
Can anyoen comment on this new technology?
THanks

I am not sure if they both offer the 90 day guarnatee? My question is are they as affective as True LED's ? High Power LEDs and 100 of them. I can build one for under $100. About 100 10mm 70,000MCD each LED that very powerfull. MAybe about 7 watts of output after completed.
That is True 635nm red. No infared which I might make a seperate unit for that.
Anyhow how do those GE lamps work compared to the LED and these Phosfo lamps?

I'm doing Omnilux light treatment with a dermatologist (covered free by my insurance), once a week for 8 weeks.
It's 20 minutes of blue, then 20 minutes of red, seems hugely bright.
I'm concerned because people here seem to treat once/twice daily, at the very least twice a week.
Will my treatment work?

I bought the lumiport pen and also the acnestar light device. They both came same time
I prefer the acnestar as covers a wider area.
I have used the lumiport once but found it annoying as it will take to long to cover all areas.
It will come with the case, alcohol wipes, plug etc.
I will sell it for £60, inc postage and packaging to anyone in United Kingdom.
Can send money to my paypal address, or send cheque.
Email me if interested.

Yesterday was my first Luvelan treatment. I feel only slightly sunburned so far. Things are already flaking off. The procedure itself wasn't so bad-only a couple areas hurt.

Hi.
I dont really know much about laser treatments.
So I decided to ask about other people's experience or if they happen to know,
is there any laser treatment ( or not laser) that can minimize pore and remove scars?
Or is it 2 different treatment?
Can you guys name it or possibly a website that explains it?
Thanks!
And be pretty always

i like my new skin tone, it looks nicely sun kissed!
this is a pleasent side-effect from the light! i think this has helped my appearance as i no longer look pale! i was fair skinned and looked a bit pale before. i think acne looks better on darker tone skin!
anyway the bad news is i'm not clear skinned yet but this side-effect alone has been worth the money!

hi people,
well after quite a few months of trying im still not clear.
i use a dermalux red / blue lamp. currently 2x daily on face and back for about 10mins each.
anyway, it has helped a bit, esp. my back where it controls it pretty well, so i'll carry on. but i'm not clear. i still get breakouts.
background info: i also take vitamin b5 tablets (8-10g a day) and b-complex to regulate oil production. i wet shave daily with sensitive soap or t-tree and aloe vera shave gel. i use t-tree and mint shampoo! i drink lots of water. i rarely eat crap food. i go to the gym a few times a week. i don't smoke. i rarely drink alcohol. i get 8 hrs sleep most nights. i'm age 25, had moderate acne for over a decade now. i don't like any topical treatments, i've tried them all nearly. bp irritates me, think i'm allergic. i can't get accutane, they wont prescribe it for me for medical reasons.....
so any ideas???? either advice on the light use or other treatments i could try????
what about micro dermabrasion (???) or a more intense light therapy?
any thoughts appreciated!

Inspired by the posts of the two other people who were attempting to build their own blue/red light lamp, I decided to have a go at making one myself. You can see the result in the attached pic, I'm quite pleased with it myself. It has 30 red (660 nm) and 30 blue (410 nm) leds on it, and it uses parts of 2 lamps I had lying around.
Now I'm interested if anyone can help me answer some question I have about using my lamp. First of all about how often and long to use it: based on other posts in this forum I'd say 10 mins twice every day, is that about right? Also I'm interested if the 'professional' lamps include some eye-protective goggles that you have to wear? If so I might have to make something for that as well. Thanks, and good luck to you other DIY builders out there.

I have decided to give light treatment a second try. Recently I have had some success in controlling acne by diet, but it doesn't seem to be progressing to full clearance. Another problem with using diet alone is that anytime you slip up and eat the wrong thing, you expose yourself to potential breakouts. I'm going to stay with the diet I am following, but on top of that I will use a lamp.
Anyway, I can get a Beautyskin lamp for $270 so I am going to go with it. The last time I had an Acnelamp that cost $599 dollars, and the results were not good.
This time around I am going to be careful, limiting my time to once a day and keeping the proper distance from the lamp.
Ok...here's hoping all goes well!

I am now in the last month of my Roaccutane treatment. After finishing this last batch of Roaccutane, I need not take any more of these pills anymore. From what my Dermatologist said, he mentioned that I should still use laser to remove these red marks.
The good thing is I have not had any breakout since the Roaccutane.
My question is whether laser 100% eliminates red marks? And how long does it take for the red marks to disappear?
Please reply. Peace out.

Hey I'm new here and I'm on my last month of accutane and its worked EXTREMELY well. On the other hand, even though all my acne is gone, I'm left with lots of red marks on my cheeks. Here are a few pics of my cheeks. Do you think light/laser treatments is what I need?? Thanks!

I have been reciving high-frequency treatments for my acne and I've been very happy with the results. However, I am now pregnant, and I'm unsure if the treatment is still safe. My esthetician assures me it is safe, but how can I be sure? I want to ask my doctor about it, but I realized I'm still not completely sure what the treatment actually is -- just that she "zaps" my skin with a glowing wand, and my acne diminishes.
Any thoughts?
