Ive been taking Yaz for a year and 1/2. It is not agreeing with me much anymore and im having too many of the side effects. It did good for my skin (though it wasnt that bad anyway) after 6 months of being on it. At first it broke me out more.
What I am worried about is that my skin will freak out, break out etc when I get off. It did seem to cut back on the oiliness of my crazy oil producing skin a bit. I will miss that and hope it isnt too bad after. Is there suppliments I can take to naturally help my hormones adjust? Ive heard of taking.. evening primrose maybe? If anyone has any good advice or experience with me please let me know! Really Id like to know what you can do to naturally help your hormones stay balanced from here on out.

It is SO hard to get accurate positive feedback on how well people do years, more or less after accutane BECAUSE, well we tend to not get back on here if we are care free about our skin.
I still found this poll that has hopefull votings so far BUT there is minimal votes. Im hoping to find atleast SOME people who have good feedback about there longer term results after a course of accutane. Posting it no here may get more negative posts since people are hear cause they are still struggling.. but oh well here is the link. http://www.topix.com/forum/drug/accutane/TN9MPHI52FKC38RFV

Has anyone had good experience with coming of Birth control and the Regimen helping keep it under control? My skin was good before I started Birth control 8 months ago due to accutane 2 years before and also maintaining with the Regimen. Im so worried that WHEN I decide to stop using Birth control it will make my acne bad again how it was before accutane.
See I never got to really test out the regimen fully because I started it only to control some mild breakouts I was having post accutane. I just hope Birth control doesnt reverse the success Ive had with Accutane and the reg. Dunno if that is possible. Any advice is appreciated

My main question is, if you skin is good with none or next to no acne (after having gotten it under control with accutane, any treatment, or say you just never really had a problem) then you go on birth control and it stays good, then when you come off do you think the birth control can cause your skin to start to have problems with acne. In other words, can that changing in hormones, or anything else about the pill MAKE acne come back or start for a 1st time because you are coming off the pill after having been on it for some time.
BASICALLY CAN BIRTH CONTROL CAUSE ACNE post using it. Here is my story. I alway had mild to moderate acne as a teen, then it got worse when I was about 21, to the point that I finally took a course of accutane almost 3 years ago. I cleared up quick and good and stayed 98% clear with just a few mild breakouts that returned for 2 years. I started birth control because I got married about 8 months ago and at 1st for the 1st 5 months it actually made my skin just a bit worse with larger zits but it still wasnt bad, well now my skin has been PERFECT for the past 3 months or so. Well Im starting to think about the future in that I dont think I will want to be on this forever. It sometimes makes me feel nausea, and some other things I dont enjoy. I can handle it but either way id Like to know that my skin will continue to be as good as it was before the pill atleast. Im so worry the BCP will have altered my good skin I got from my course of accutane. There is also always the thought of what if my acne returned from accutane while on the BCP but Ive heard that if it does its usually not as bad. I understand that if you had bad acne going into using Birth control and it clears it up you can expect it probably may come back if you discontinue it, but what about my case? Thansks!
