Regimen Progress

I just wanted to say, it's been a long hard road but I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you, Dan and everyone who's got the guts to come up here and share their story. You all are awesome!

Hello everyone! So, I finally got the guts to post some pics up in my gallery. I just did it so they should be viewable in the next 24 hours or so. But I really wish I had an example like this to look at when I began this Regimen. I had a really severe initial breakout and was really wondering if that was normal. I decided to put my faith in this Regimen instead of going back to the derm for accutane. I'm happy with the progress to far. So, hope this helps someone out there!

Trouble posting pics

Hey is anyone else having trouble uploading images onto their gallery? I've tried and it says my internet connection goes out. But this only happens when I try to upload. Weird.

Cysts and their resolutions

All right I've got about 38 days on the Regimen now. I've added AHA after moisturizing and have noticed that my cysts are flattening out. Getting a bit red, but then sort of calming down. So, I'm gonna keep going with this spot treatment. My face is getting better, although I did have a MONSTER initial breakout on the Regimen. Soooo not fun. I even thought about taking Accutane after the initial breakout, it's just embarrassing having so many cysts. So, I'm thinking maybe in a few weeks I'll go and get a haircut and maybe go out and have fun with some friends. I haven't done that in about a month!

But what's happening with the cysts? They are either coming out and the AHA is wearing them down, which causes some redness. Or they are flattening out leaving minimal red marks on my skin. I'm not picking them at all, no matter how tempting it is. So, we'll see how this goes!

Everyone on the Regimen or anything else, HANG in there! I am and I know how difficult it can be. I imagine life with clear skin and hold on to that no matter what.

AHA on cysts?

Ok, so I started using AHA on my many cysts. It seems that it makes them come to a head faster but it does also make them really red. At this point, I believe I'm spot treating? And that's what Dan sort of explained as one of the uses for AHA. I'm not exactly sure about this and just want some feedback from others. Don't want to screw up the Regimen.

Also, my skin is still pretty dry and flaky and it's week 5. Gosh, I don't know. I keep taking pictures of my face and it still is recovering from the initial breakout during week 2. I'm soooo sad!
